With regard to our compensation model, we cannot map all salary components 1:1 and have to adjust them manually in the payroll export.
Personio simplifies onboarding and offboarding for all parties involved and massively accelerates the process. In addition, all personnel documents are collected in one place and can be quickly located if necessary. The online signature offered is also a time-saving and very useful tool, as no export etc. is required, but the signature can be made directly in the system.
Personio has excellent standard features and many possibilities to create our own rules and customizations.
The UI is not the most friendly; sometimes, we need to "think like an Engineer" to find the right place to do something.
We hire globally, and it is nice to have one tool that can cater to many different countries and types of employment relationships.

I think having recruitment, staff details, onboarding, holidays all in one place and easy to navigate is the best thing about Personio.
there are some features that we can't amend, so a few times we've had to 'work around'
unbias and equal assessment of canididates during the interview process. We realised this after the very first interview through Personio! It made a difference immediately. We're also solving our onboarding process - hiring managers are involved at the right stages and we're already saving time and providing a better experience.
The Absence inquiry and confirmation flow.
Some small bugs here and there, for example, when revising/re-requesting a day off: - if you wanna push it in time, you have to first change the 'to' date, and then adjust the 'from' date: at least for me is intuitive to change the 'from' date first and then the 'to' date.

The information is clearly presented. The document folders are very helpful. Its easy to allocate the correct access permissions.
The bulk upload of documents is a little difficult. This could be improved and a setting which allows you to upload multiple files at once to a single employees file. It would be good if we could customise how the dashboard looks too.
The only issue we have ran into is the bulk upload of documents and that all of the documents we need to upload (roughly 16,000) have to be renamed which is a mammoth task. However, the support we have received from personio for this problem has been great and they are helping us to process these documents.
