I found softr after experimenting with airtables and hitting a limit with usability. So I started to play more and quickly realized the power. As my old company webpage needed a upgrade, I changed to softr. I'm really impressed how easy it was to do a good-looking, functional page without any hussle.
Sometimes the updates of blocks require you to set up the whole block again.

Softr gives non-technical people abilities they didn't have access to before. With Softr, I was able to create a community portal to share templates and facilitate networking. I was also able to build a game portal with a leaderboard and webinars embedded directly in the site. On top of powerful software, their support is amazing. They have real-time chat support available and we have an incredible CSM who goes above and beyond for us to help us build the perfect experience.
The components can be a little limiting as they are all pre-built
Softr lets me build a beautiful interface on top of an airtable database. This gives a professional look while being easily manageable on the backend.
I think one of the key strenghts of Softr is as follows: - Control UI visibility based on permissions. That way, the UI is extremely simple. The user only see what they need to see. I use it to segregate between departments: operations, finance, etc. The learning curve for an employee is short to none. This is almost non achieveable in enterprise competitors. - Simplicity in development: It is relatively easy to develop very complex features. Yes, there is some learning curve but none compared to functionalities you can achieve. Also, expect to use some "hacks" or workaround sometimes to achieve what you want, so it adds to the learning curve. For example, you might use a "block" intended to send forms in another way for another use case than creating a form. The customer service is in a different league. I really mean it. They usually responds in 1-4 minutes and most of the time are really helpful and very technical. Sometimes it is a bit too much, and I am speaking as someone with software engineer: usually then you can contact the community.
We are in the B2B space and thus speed of loading is not critical to us, but it would be nice for the UI of Softr to load faster for a better user experience. If you are in the B2C space, you should consider page speed loading, but it is something that can also be optimized as far as I read on the community. Also, there are small bugs some time but nothing too drastic. The team seem to target it quite fast and overall they seem like a reliable partner for our long-term development. Another thing is workarounds: sometimes you have to make workarounds to achieve what you want. It isn't that I don't like it, even with custom code there are workarounds sometimes, it is just something to keep in mind and expect during your use of the product. So far, we were able to achieve all the functionalites we wanted with Softr. Lastly, I would love to see Softr work better with Make.com; currently there are some bugs. It would open a whole world of new possibilities. So far Zapier seems to work well, but is too expensive for us.
I am a business owner and a former software engineer. I have been using Softr for about 2 months now to create most of our business apps. I was able to build apps using Softr for: - Suppliers - Customers - TMS: an internal app for our employees and me to manage suppliers, customers, and shipments. (I also manage employees there). - Track and Trace for packages
Softr works very well and is very easy to use for normal people (not IT people). In 1h learning you can do amazing things !
I need a lot of new features for my app and sometimes it is not still present on Softr but it is growing very fast so I am sure I will have my new features soon !

That I have to learn it. They produce a lot of videos. 3rd parties also produce a lot of videos. It is helping me answer questions I would have never asked becasue the skill set was too complicated to even post as a Fiverr project. Now I can say, "Yes I can!"
I use it to creats apps for reviews, desplaying inventory, client portals with crm and call tracking features. I am contantly filled with ideas to use as a marketing platform.
Softr has helped the company I work for in alot of ways from saving time having to manually create landing pages and websites from scratch to being able to fulfil our goals of having partner portals that can bring information from our CRM directly to our clinets. The team at softr is so helpful and always happy to help with anything. Softr overall is an excellent service and I would reccomend to anyone.
The least helpful part about softr is there are some features that havent been implemented as of yet but the team are always adding great new features.
I have been search for a platform like Softr for a long time and have come across a few but havent really got the hang of them but Softr has given the business a new look on using technology to help our clinets have clairty as to where they are and how their applications are progressing.
I like the fact that they have templates already that you can start with instead of from scratch that's very helpful for someone who doesn't have any coding experience. You can just plug & play

The problem Softr is solving is the ability for me to create an app with no coding experience that's pretty simple once you get past the learning curve which just takes watching some videos.
It is extremely easy to use which also means that you can get up and running within hours.
It can at times be a bit hard to make your pages look good one mobile devices but they keep adding features that make this easier.
We are using Softr for all our consumer facing content and Softr is helping us doing this in a fast and cheap way. The productivity you have when using Softr is through the roof compared to if we had to build it all from scratch.

Managing of accelerator programs for startups
As an non-profit NGO, we try to spend as little as possible in our tools. Airtable is already quite a budget, and we have been using for a while now. However, when we scaled up, we found ourselves in need of a both a more user-friendly way of accessing data, and a more precise way of segmenting user rights and determine what they can edit or not. Softr allowed us to answer to both those needs.
We often have weird bugs that arise and that we don't see until the user tell us : more often than not, those bugs are caused by field or bases changing names. I don't know why softr uses the name of field / bases / etc. and not their individual id ! because names can be changed by lots of people in the team, unsuspecting that it would cause bugs.
Softr allows us to have a more user-friendly interface than airtable for some users that may not be comfortable with it. Plus, it allow us to select what each user group can see and edit.

Only one thing that it have to develop a little bit more .when we delete a softr app directly from the dashbord the domain also remain connected to the website infact we can not use that domain on another softr app until it fixed.

Really intuitive tool. Managed to get started and build a pretty powerful website within a few days. Support is always fast to respond. Couldn't find another tool that compares to Softr feature-wise.
There are some things pretty simple things that can't be customised without code but I imagine it's only a matter of time before these are added to the roadmap.
Being able to have all my data sync from Airtable is really useful. Being able to create a community with user sign-in functionnalities without costing an arm and a leg.
Softr has a great support team which is quick, knowledgeable and very friendly. This helps a lot when you're building new solkutions. Beyond that, Softr has a great UX and is very simple to set-up with your airtable Data. To me this is my first choice even for a simple website, finally i can forget about wordpress + plugins.
I'd like to have a better implementation of a blog structure (not super important, and i think is on the roadmap right now. Also I would also like having a smartsuite integration, this platform is getting better and better. For some customers i would prefer Smartsuite over Airtable.

Softr is easy to bring a site from thought to fruition. I found it after being co-opted into building a site for a non-profit. Before this, I had never done any web development at all. It is user-friendly and their support is top-notch!

When it comes to backend development for a client portal, it can be very finicky, rendering it pointless and unable to handle the creation of it. I found that it was difficult to track the individual data of clients as there was no way to auto track who held what data.
Having a website that is easily tweaked and modified for stylistic changes. Furthermore, the API links allow us to include third party sources, and also links to our database.

SOFTR is incredibly easy to use. Right now I am teaching my 13 years old how to use it and he seems fascinated with the possibilities. What I like the most is how it empowers end user to create their own digital solutions
Actually I dont have any complaints other than some of the features being only available in the high end pricing tiers. Even with that restriction, you can build a whole lot of things even of the free plan. I strongly recommend this app.
