We have mainly used Reply for outbound sales email campaigns and for this the solution is great. We love the built in A/B testing, flexible scheduling and metrics that are available at scale.
Our team uses Hubspot as our main CRM and marketing platform so an integration to Hubspot would be a plus. We have managed all needed functionality by linking Reply and Hubspot via Zapier.
Reply has worked for us well as a sales outbound tool at scale. Especially for large audiences the solution works great.
The integration directly with Google so that it comes directly from your inbox is really powerful. It has most of the features needed without any of the hassle of the larger scale programmes it competes with
Beware when you are due a password change of your Google account. It will turn off your Reply sequences and it's not obvious... your emails may not be getting sent
Great way to manage my time effectively knowing that the drip sequences are going on in the background. We get really good click, read and reply rates
Reply makes email outreach with personalized very easy. I like most of the tracking features as well. Their customer service team is very good at responding within to issues within minutes.
Sometimes the platform bugs out (as any platform) however the team is able to fix issues relatively quickly. Would be nice to be able to verify all email addresses as they are being uploaded into the platform to reduce the risk of emails bouncing.
Email outreach for marketing and sales
Reply is a very practical tool to build your sales process around. It is easy to use and very complete as well. And if you integrate it with a CRM it can be a game changer since you not only adapt your messages to your customers but you can also scale it very easily.
I think where Reply should work a more is on the reports part. Even though it is quite standard when you compare it with other tools with some adjustments like showing your historical reply rates by time and day of the week it could easily be top 3 in the market. One negative thing maybe is that your plan covers only a limited amount of new people to contact per month, then you have to pay extra within the same plan.
We increased the amount to MQL we got in a month by 30%.
Easiness of use, data tracking and synch
Reply doesn't allow you to focus on awareness and synch with linkedin.
Increasing MRR/ARR drastically through outreach. Limiting sales team efforts such that they can concentrate on prospects who show intent rather than spend time on cold leads.
Reply has great customer service, whenever I have a question or if something isn't working they respond in minutes and work to get things resolved. They are also always iterating and improving their product.
Can sometimes have bugs, but the reply team does everything they can to quickly fix any issues encountered.
With Reply, we can create multi step email campaigns and for non email related events set it will set reminders in a to-do list. They have great dashboards and the ability to assess campaign effectiveness in a matter of seconds.
Being able to 'one-and-done' campaigns is really useful, as it allows you to plan your content and pro-actively engage with target prospects without taking the manual effort.
The Name2Email plug-in isn't the most accurate for pulling email addresses, but with so many other tools out there, it isn't a huge problem at all.
It's enabled us to reach more people and a decreased level of effort, so it really is a win-win.
Their user interface is really well done. We have been using Reply.io to reach out to contacts in the LinkedIn industry, and it has been going very well. We've used various marketing agencies over the past 8 years for email contacting, and this is the first one that has been showing really positive results. We have been able to reach out target market a lot more "precisely" (differing from the shotgun approach with past campaigns).
Nothing that we can think of at the moment. We have been using them for about 4 months now and are happy with the service. We did have a hiccup with an email server that needed some reconfiguration - but that ended up being on our end. We basically only use Reply.io for it's email automation (and not the phone call integration feature).
The ability to further reach our target market on a "honed in" level, rather than just spray marketing to the world and hoping results would come back. We've converted 20 leads already in just a few months - which ends up being worth it's weight against the marketing costs.
It is straightforward and easy to use. It has a variety of features and keeps upgrading. Great support.
It has occasional bugs and glitches, though their support team is quite responsive and they have a good synergy with the development team, so they keep working together to make Reply better every day.
Automated sales outreach is the core of our new business efforts and without Reply that would be unimaginable.
I love how simple & quick I learned the platform & was able to get campaigns up and running, with great results too. The ability to AB test is very important to me as well. Their customer support team is also insanely quick to answer questions on live chat, which is greatly appreciated.
Can't really say anything to be honest. Note, I strictly use Reply for outreach email campaign automation, I do not use it for scheduling phone calls.
Managing a program with 5,000+ affiliates is tough. I was spending a ton of time on individual outreach. With Reply, I am able to prioritize my targets & create appropriate campaigns for segments I create.
Reply's support staff are attentive to helping you level up your skills with their product. I never had to wait long for a decent answer or clarification. The software itself is well designed to get the job done and the tool works.
There's some work that needs to be done with its search capabilities and how someone might organize long term sequences. But they're open to those ideas which demonstrate a real focus on their customers.
Some of my work requires following-up with extremely busy people. I found myself often have to "repin this message in your inbox" to too many people, and there had to be a solution to automate those types of reminders if someone didn't reply back the first time. Often, I would simply forget to do it and that set up a different set of headaches. This thing addresses these two issues very well. It helps automate and systemize follow-ups without being a pest or disorganized.
I like that I can set up a number of different follow up emails in a campaign so that it takes away the leg work of having to follow up on leads (which usually gets forgotten about!) The feedback and advice on setting up a campaign is also useful as it forces a certain amount of brevity which again is sometimes forgotten when you do it yourself
Some of it is a bit tricky to get your head around at first and some of the options aren't always that obvious - always best to do an onboarding call with the great support team to get queries resolved.
We're trying to launch a new product so it's been great to use for outreach for beta testers to get them interested and also chase up 2 or 3 times if they don't respond to the first one. The way that reply sorts out, well, replies, is great and makes things quite good to manage.
Reply has the most customization available compared to other email automation tools. Their API and Zapier integrations are particularly robust. Their level of support is the best I've seen from a SaaS tool.
Not much to say here -- it can be sometimes slow to sync email replies, but their support team is always ready to help.
Email automation
the ability to multitask with multiple campaigns reaching a full variety of industries and businesses
clarity in the reporting section, with the ability to break down day/week/month with individual team members
the do not contact and repeat emails to uninterested parties has been extremely beneficial
The support has been off the charts. I can schedule a call with my dedicated support rep at any time. I often have lots of questions and it's so much easier to get on the phone vs. chatting for long periods of time with someone overseas. The platform is easy to use and the user interface isn't overwhelming like other platforms. Plus, I LOVE the scoring and recommendations the system gives as you write your sequence. Very helpful. Lastly, the pricing is extremely affordable.
The filtering is not so intuitive and takes some time to get to the data you're looking for. Also, there's no native HubSpot integration. Also, it's a bit unreasonable to require emails to stay in my inbox in order for Reply to track responses. I had to set up an extra Gmail account as a workaround which was a bit annoying.
We're looking to reach out to prospects who are on a current version of Magento and trying to convince them to migrate to a newer version of Magento before support ends.
- Easy to use, both adding people and sending email journeys out - The best thing is creating a journey and knowing that the emails are going to be sent out from your mailbox, in a good format and with tracking on it - Able to report data on click rates/reply rates etc and adjust emails accordingly
The downsides are few - considering the price and the useability The platform does have a couple of glitches and sometimes takes a while to load/send out emails. The other is when an email bounces, the instructions to rectify this are not clear.
Automating follow ups in the relevant timezones.
As a beginner, this is SUCH a user friendly platform. I love that it looks and feels like its coming directly from the source, but it can still be so personalized. The "people" tab is my go-to for analyzing and monitoring my results, and creating action plans based off that insight.
Not being able to incorporate more design aspects into email templates
Just being able to reach a large amount of people at once. Reply helps me stay on top of communication with clients, and keeps me organized
The higher open and action rates. Also, Reply does a good job of knowing which replies are positive and negative which makes my job much easier. Once you have a sequence set up its easy to turn it on forget about it and let it run.
It can take a hot minute to learn the system. There are some nuances like the outbox report that doesn't seem to be accurate sometimes. Understanding the email outbox schedule can be a little tricky and take a few trial and error campaigns to figure it out. A solid checklist for this kind of system is in order.
Personalizing outreach at scale.
We were able to scale our prospect outreach in ways we were never able to do before! It also has flexible automation rules that are key to enhancing productivity.
The task manager needs some work. When creating and completing tasks, you need to manually add them to a contact profile since it doesn't sync automatically. View also only allows for one month out.
Outreach to new prospects and group segmentation. Reply took the manual aspect out of mass emails and follow-ups.
Saves our team a lot of time by sending automated email sequences to prospective and current clients. The ability to duplicate colleagues' campaigns is a great additional feature as well.
The platform can sometimes be a bit glitchy. Reporting doesn't provide with a click through rate in the reporting pages.
Reply provides our small team with an efficient and scalable solution for all email outreach, coming directly from each employees gsuite account.
