GetResponse offers three main tiers in their pricing; Free, Paid Plans, and MAX² (for large enterprises).
The paid plans are also divided into email marketing, marketing automation, and e-commerce marketing.
With the email marketing plan, you can build your email list and deliver valuable information to your audience. You’ll be able to create a website with an unlimited number of landing pages to generate signups. You can also segment your subscribers, but only based on the basic information you’ll have collected about them. This plan works best for those who don’t need complex automation, like small businesses, entrepreneurs, bloggers, etc.
Pricing starts from $13.30/month for 1,000 contacts if you choose a 2-year contract and increases to $19/month if you want to pay monthly. The price also increases depending on the number of subscribers you want to accommodate, from 1,000 subscribers to 100,000 subscribers.
If you want to include more advanced automation settings and segmentation, then this is the plan for you. It includes all the features in the free plan, and email marketing plan, as well as trigger and event-based sequences to collect more data on your audience. You’ll be able to create automated email chains so customers can receive personalized emails based on their behavior and preferences.
Additionally, you’ll get access to the webinar builder so this plan is typically great for B2B and tech companies that want to nurture their leads.
Pricing starts at $41.30/month for 1,000 contacts (2-year contract) and up to $59/month for 1,000 subscribers for a monthly contract.
This plan includes everything from the two previous plans and includes web push notifications, abandoned cart recovery, product recommendations, transactional emails, and promo codes. Of course, this plan is beneficial if you want to increase sales for your online store.
The pricing starts at $83.30/month for 1,000 subscribers (2-year contract) and goes up to $119/ month for 1,000 subscribers if you’re paying monthly. It can get quite pricy if you climb up to 100,000 subscribers, as you’ll be paying $700/month.
GetResponse is a great and affordable tool to help you upstart your email marketing campaigns. They have other offerings that are all designed to complement core features and boost your presence online, including a selection of builders, for websites, landing pages, and even webinars. GetResponse also has a customer support team that is always available to help users onboard and address any concerns.
However, don’t forget that there are still other email marketing software options available—all with their own set of unique features and tools. Be sure to take a look at our wide range of software categories to find the perfect software that your business needs.
Very easy to use, very user friendly and intuitive layout
Doesn't give you a lot of room for creativity
Used to craft email blasts to prospective clients
This is a very useful email marketing software tool. Additionally, it allows for webinar exchange, landing page counts, and marketing automation.
Support forum is somewhat annoying and not helpful.
It is a platform of several applications to help grow your business. i.e., webinar exchange, landing page counts, and marketing automation. It is tailored to your industry which is helpful.
The ease of use when designing the email
Lack of data and analytics. I recently found out our clickthrough rates were inaccurate because we were trying to track clickthroughs and Google analytics at the same time. Apparently this is a known issue with the system and you can only track one or the other, yet your system allows you to choose to track both at the same time.
We needed a way to track our employees to see if they were opening informational emails and if they were actually reading the articles. We have been able to see exactly who opens the email and track click-throughs to read the entire article from our website.
I like the landing page editing and email software in one, and I like the spam checker.
The design process is really glitchy, the containers are hard to manipulate and the content inside containers will sometimes not behave. It's not reliable.
We needed an email platform and a landing page builder.
easy navigation, looks professional, good spam filter tools
too strict with importing contacts, help desk not very useful
sending our multiple emails to multiple lists but trying to avoid emails being sent to spam
combining email automation, landing pages and forms.
Very choppy user experience, not an intuitive builder, and completely different functionality to create landing page vs email - should be same interface/builder
automating emails, email nurturing, consolidate system
Ability to send emails at the same time across different time zones
HTML editor is a bit cumbersome. Overall navigation is trickly
We're using GetResponse to send our monthly newsletter. For that purpose the product is great. Not sure if I would use it for drip campaigns.
I like the ease of the email templates, there are many creative ones you can use and work with. I like how they show me the analytics of the emails after it has been sent, such as who has opened it, what links they click, etc.
I do not like the platform. It can get really confusing on where to navigate or do things. Uploading contacts is sort of a pain, and there isn't an option for cleaning your lists. Also, everytime you want a new contact list to be uploaded, you need to create a different campaign, which gets tremendously confusing because what if I wanted to use different newsletters for different campaigns or the same newsletter for different campaigns, etc. All in all, it gets very confusing and is not that user friendly.
We have gotten more sign ups for our events since we have been using Get Response, however there is only a 10-20% open rate, which we think is odd.
I liked the design level of Get Response
The newsletter edit system seemed clunky and not intuitive. I also didn't like the way lists were build. you are mostly going to get clients coming off free Mailchimp accounts and mailchimp is so easy to work with, that you need to make your interface just as easy..
Marketing and regular newsletters
Price point for the basic plan was great. Easy to use format and straightforward, so it seemed.
When completing a landing page according to their template, using their guidelines and fonts, it had continual issues with buttons and images overlapping each other. Our business invested $75 to run a Facebook Ad on what we thought would be a properly vetted Beta tester version. It is not ready. There was no ability to download our free offer, due to buttons overlapping. During live chats, we were told, we should clarify to clients to "Open using Google Chrome" (You should never preface an ad with that sort of statement) "Use our recommended fonts" (did that) among other minor adjustments, all which were followed. After several attempts, no refund was allowed for the botched ad and only a 10% discount on further subscription plans was provided. They stated that the Facebook Beta was a work in progress and all our issues would be used to greatly move the company forward in strides to provide the best version possible for future Facebook ad updates. (I'M SO GLAD MY $75 HELPED THAT PROGRESS) Not impressed with their response or this company.
None, now. Absolutely none.
**I'll tell you what I LIKED best (past-tense) because, at present, I hate GetResponse.** I liked the high open rates and click-through rates reported with GetResponse. I thought, "WOW! I've never seen my emails perform so well!" As a marketer, you might think you've found some "holy grail" of a tool. Unfortunately, GetResponse has really big problems.
Their statistics are either inaccurate, straight-up lies, or something is going on with reporting. I thought I drove over 1000 people to our website after an email campaign. Turns out, that is not what happened. Google Analytics confirms that. I'm getting as far away from GetResponse as possible. Now, this is after they dinged me for THEIR bounce rate. Customer support is frustrating to email back and forth with, giving cookie cutter answers to my inquiries like "Could you please provide more information".
None. Any business problems that I thought I solved with GetResponse have been an illusion.
Our rep has been very proactive at reading out and being helpful.
So far, I am not thrilled with GetResponse. We were sold on promises that were not originally fulfilled and then we had to 'fight' to get them taken care of as promised, but eventually, they did honor their word. The system turned out to be a bit more of a learning curve for our developers than we expected and it is missing basic features that we would like to see.
We are using Get response to replace mail chimp, survey monkey, and some testing pieces.
It is ok honestly it is lacking in a lot of areas for my business and so i used something eles intirely
I just has list managements and that is it.
none it didint solve any/.
I find the platform very easy to navigate, and the email builder is one of the better ones.
We called multiple about our GetResponse.com contact form on the website getting "spammed" with generated email address. Some times we could see that around 100 accounts per minute registering with random numbers and letters as the name. We thought we had the problem fixed with support team only to discover that the billing team was not willing to credit our account for the list extension fee.
We were looking for a replacement email newsletter solution when our old provider was bought and the service shut down.
the tie in with landing pages- it is great to have that ability to be able to build mailing lists through creative pages.
the fact that you can't change the "from" field - and you are locked into the account name - it is just not intuitive and mail chimp is so much better
Landing pages for list building
The templates and the setup options for grouping clients into individual campaigns is a great idea.
The template formats do not look good on all devices. Very frustrating to put a whole newsletter together and have it not save correctly, but if it does save it is 50% chance that it will not lay out correctly between handheld devices and desktops.
Benefits are the landing page options. However, lack of ease of use of the templates are also an issue on the landing pages.
I don't have anything to say here.........
1. html view is lacking a side-by-side comparison and constantly tweaks out on me. 2. you can't view unsubscribes by email, I was told by your team to view the master sheet of unsub dates in 3. order to determine which email they unsubscribed from (not accurate data, especially if we send multiple emails per day) 4. not that user friendly, you have to jump through a lot of hoops to change/see items needed 5. lists don't really make a lot of sense, calling them "campaigns" that is confusing 6. mass email upload doesn't always work 7. dashboard could be better 8. look at what mailchimp is doing, that's what I like and need
n/a
Not much. I'm soon leaving for Constant Contact. For the sake of contributing something, I'll say that the drag-n-drop feature is decent, when it works. The HTML bunches into one unintelligible blob, so unless I build it from scratch to begin with, there's no hope of making minor tweaks or edits. Also, using the HTML editor breaks the drag-n-drop feature, so it's hopeless anyway.
The customer service (both phone and chat) - baffled representatives who have no idea how to fix my problems or interface, not particularly friendly, and typically ending our conversation with "Sorry I can't help you - Is there anything else I can do for you?" ...No. Also, fix your GUI.
I'm in commercial real estate. I have a constantly changing property list that has never, ever looked even halfway decent and constantly breaks with GR's dated, clunky GUI.
