Part of my job is scheduling social media posts (including Pinterest). I love being able to take 5 minutes out of my day to schedule a week's worth of posts so that I can focus on other aspects of work and save time.
Tailwind does have some bugs. I have had scheduled pins erased on me and issues with time stamps at time, but overall, I recommend the site
Tailwind is such a lifesaver. I primarily use it for scheduling Pinterest pins, however, it is also great for scheduling Instagram content as well
Tailwind is easy to use and simple to navigate.
Sometimes it's hard to prioritize scheduling and make time to do it.
I've seen a lot of growth in my Pinterest Following
I love how it looks aesthetically pleasing to have the Instagram layout that you chose to be visible when someone clicks your link in the bio. I love that you get to have options of what you want your followers to be able to click on and be taken directly to it. I also like that you can see how many clicks people did on a particular post once you view tailwind on the computer.
I wish you could design it a little more to make it more on brand. It is pretty basic with the layout for the branding aspect. I don't like there are limited live Instagram posts available.
being able to have smart bio with links that get my followers to where I need to direct them. very easy one-stop shop.
This tool gives me the ability to save hashtags and be able to provide you with possible hashtags that match your title as you start writing, it is one of the only products I have used as it has excellent tutorials, Tailwind makes it very easy to collect and I queued snippets of content from the web to my Pinterest account. I use it mostly for Pinterest, I use it for Instagram as well, so switching between the two works fine for me.
Among the few details that I don't like, navigating between pages is a bit tricky. The version of the app on your phone is not that perfect. I don't like that I don't pull the information from the Rich Pin, plus it's still hard to find the posts I'd like to share.
It has helped me post content at the right time to ensure maximum engagement on my pins. It also helps interact with the tribes, which seem to be more effective than group meetings at the moment. Tailwind does the programming and distributes the content during the week and the month, and has helped me create dozens of accounts quickly.
It's an absolutely essential tool for any blogger in general, I love how easy it is to post to social media and re-queue a post from my library, I also love the emails they send out with tips on how to get more out of your account, allows me to schedule a month of pins in less than an hour and helps me connect with other Pinners in my niche, you can also post directly to your facebook page from tailwind, it is very easy to collect and queue content snippets from the web on my Pinterest account, I also love the ability to save hashtags and provide you with potential hashtags.
This platform offers me an excellent service, it has given me many good results, I do not have any negative comments towards this wonderful product.
I no longer have to spend hours and hours creating content, Tailwind saves an incredible amount of time by allowing people to schedule posts or pins in advance, it also helps to keep everything well organized, it also helps us a lot with the auto-post feature of Instagram, with this tool I have increased my productivity in a very significant way.
Tailwind makes it so easy to collect and queue bits of content off the web to my Pinterest account. When you queue an image off any webpage using tailwind browser plugin it suggest you similar images which are impressively relevent to the one you posted, this helps you quickly find and queue similar content to your social accounts, in my case pinterest. Early i used to do this all manually and it would consume up so much time but with tailwind its much faster and much more efficient.
They have just about every feature you'll ever need to keep your social accounts active, got no complaints in regards to any feature just their pricing is a bit too high, if they could lower down their pricing by around 60% that would be perfect.
Pinning images using traditional pinterest bookmarklet is good if you are using pinterest for personal use but if you want to fully engage your pinterest audience then you need to try out tailwind, their scheduling feature has helped me post content at the right time to make sure there is maximum engagement on my pins.
Pinterest has an annoying feature where you cannot upload more than one picture at once. Tailwind is a solution to that. I have used it multiple times for mass uploading pictures to Pinterest and I have not had any issues, at least after I figured out what I was doing.
Personally I do not find it to be very user-friendly. I am fairly tech-savvy and even I struggled a little bit to get going. I'm sure they may offer tutorials or there may be some youtube tutorials but I decided to jump right in and see what I could do.
Until Pinterest changes their ways and decides to add a mass-upload option, then I plan on still utilizing Tailwind for those needs.
Ahhh Pinterest. Our favourite long lead channel for clients with an aesthetically pleasing and visual product. Tailwind is the solution we could find for scheduling pins for clients, and being able to see at a glance that we were getting an even spread across all boards. Images are uploaded to the dashboard, assigned a caption, and assigned to the board of your choosing. Scheduling the pins for an optimal time and reviewing to ensure that they are achieving targets is easy with the aid of Tailwind. Also, the fact that the software is free goes a long long way.
Captions and links to sites had a tendency to awry. There's little point in pinning something a board if it doesn't direct back to your site or the page it's attributed to. It's time consuming to have to go in and manually edit the links once they've been pinned, and can almost cancel out the efficiency of the scheduling feature. Also, while the Chrome extension may be useful to some, rarely do we need to pin "on the fly" and it's rather burdensome instead of helpful, Edit: After chats with the Tailwind team, there's a distinct possibility that the linking feature simply eluded me at the time and did in fact exist.
This is a useful work around for the inability to schedule pins within app/software. As mentioned, it's beneficial to see the spread of the pins to board ratio, but the inability to confirm links is an important feature - perhaps a paid model is required?
Tailwind create and also the ease of use of the platform. It's easy to upload and optimize pins or posts in bulk. Also the platform is established and quite reliable
Pricing plans - they've raised the prices recently which from a business standpoint is understandable but doesn't suit many small businesses anymore especially when there is so much Pinterest and Instagram approved that offer similar features for a lot less
Automating the Posting to pins to multiple boards, statistics on board health, more clicks to pins due to higher consistency on the platform and a better workflow.
I like that not only can I time my social media posts but I can also see my the display of the feed that will be displayed on IG. Easy to use and you can store lists of # for different types of posts. Smart bio link is very helpful to drive traffic off the platform.
Seems like you frequently need to re-link the accounts and relink to FB and IG and it takes multiple times as I always seem to get a few errors before it will actually connect.
Pre-scheduling of post so that it can be done all at once vs having to go and do it each day. Saves lots of time and effort. You can also recycle posts of the graphics if needed/wanted for later dates once it is uploaded into the system.
The fact that it post automatically for me. Plann, preview, Unum, I have tried them all but one of them allow you to post automatically. Tailwind does.
The fact that (and tailwind falsely advertises the opposite) when you post automatically, Instagram reduces your visibility to your follower. You only have visibility to 7% of your followers and you post through tailwind it goes lower than that. The timings they calculate for posting are always wrong - it feels like they always take the timings with the least engagament.
It helps me to organise my Instagram better but as I said before I was looking for something to post automatically without compromising my engagement.
I love how easy it is to schedule pins and manage content delivery.
The analytics are a bit sparse and you can’t look too far back, so you have to keep weekly records to get a big picture perspective.
We’re using it to manage our Pinterest account. It really helps with bulk promotion and content distribution.
Pinterest can be difficult to utilize for a business since it's completely different from other social media platforms. Since I'm still in the learning phases of figuring out how to target my ideal client through Pinterest, Tailwind is such a huge help to me for making sure that I'm heading in the right direction.
T dashboard page gives you suggestions for how to improve your Pinterest account, but I wish there was an option to dismiss suggestions. I typically take their advice, but certain suggestions (ie: inviting collaborators) don't work for me and I don't like having the pop up still on my dashboard suggesting I do that. Definitely a small complaint, but it's really the only thing bothers me so far.
I'm consistently taking webinars, reading blogs and finding tips for Pinterest strategies. It's a very different approach than how you would use Instagram, Facebook, Twitter or Snapchat for a business, so I'm very much still in the learning process. Tailwind is helping me track what content is resonating with potential clients.
Ease of use, install the plugin and your done.
That you have to pay for a year to get unlimited pins. Only 1/5 of the suggested pins are relevant to what I post.
Getting traffic to my blog via Pinterest.
With the Pinterest scheduling feature, you don't have to spend all day pinning live. Analytics are a bit more robust than what you see from Pinterest's native dashboard. Love in the scheduler that you can shuffle your scheduled pins. We often pin images from a blog post to multiple boards and this allows us to not have identical pins going out in a row.
Analytics could be a bit more robust and wish the dashboard was more customizable.
Saves time by allowing us to schedule pins.
I'll admit the interface confused me the first time I used it because there should be a simple tutorial built into the app. So you kinda have to just figure out things a little bit and then its great. I added Tailwind because of Hootsuite and its perfect.
No user tutorial at first sign on so then you are stuck playing with it to get a hang of the controls

I like how I can schedule pins days/weeks in advance.
I feel Tailwind Plus is too expensive, and I cannot schedule pins on my phone through the app.
I can improve my engagement and connect with more people.
I am a big fan of the Chrome button that allows me to schedule, so that I can schedule something that I find while searching the web or from my email. That also allows me more easily to pin for my employer without having to logout of my own Pinterest account, since I work from my personal home computer. My new favorite feature is the ability to pin from Instagram. It's still in beta, so it is a little glitchy. But, it is a great possibility.
Tailwind seems to move slow. I often save it for the last thing on my to-do list because of that. I also find the interface cluttered and hard to navigate. It's possible that there isn't another product better, but if it were my decision, I might try something different for my team first. Like their ability to pin from Instagram, I wish they would create a way for you to more easily pin from a blog.
My team needs Pinterest to be able to schedule in advance. This allows us to schedule out ahead of time, which makes our presence on Pinterest stronger!
I really like Tailwind. It's fairly easy to use and understand.
I really feel the only drawback is the price. I would probably still be using it, but my small company can't justify the cost when Social Report will post to Pinterest as a part of my regular subscription.
I haven't really solved any problems because I had to switch providers.
