There are such a variety of connectors to use with Data Studio - which makes getting data into reports easy and allows me to create reports that are consistent across ad networks. Ads + Analytics Connector is great for doing roll-up reports, I can't wait to see more paid media options added! They are very good with replying to help tickets and helping to troubleshoot any of the issues I've had.
The interface for seeing account usage and how billing is calculated isn't the most user-friendly/intuitive. It can be quite slow to load when multiple data sources are needed in a report, but I don't know that there is really a way around that, as all those data pulls take time, even without a connector.
Consistency of reporting is much easier, and I can pull together templated reports in a matter of minutes. Almost every data source I've needed can be accessed through one of the connectors, so I have a single place to manage data sources.
How many connections there are. I've been able to connect so many applications into one report, which has made my reporting so much easier to understand.
The cost for additional connections or upgrading to the premium. I love the tool, but it can be hard to justify those higher costs as just a one-woman shop.
I know where my client's audience is, what they are doing, and what opportunities there are to help them. My clients are always surprised when I'm able to pull a report together, and we get a complete overview of what's going on.
Allows me to make hyper-customized reporting dashboards for my clients based on their needs. Because I use the Sheets Plugin, I can also account for tracking errors by manually incorporating conversion data when/if there is an issue. Because these reports can be so specific client-focused, I completely automate my month-end reporting by having daily updated live dashboards to which I give clients access to. I have been using Super Metrics for about 6 years now and I love almost everything about it.
Because I have numerous Google Accounts logged into, on occasion, the Sheets Plugin fails to load and I need to log out and then back in with my primary account email. It doesnt happen that often, but it is always frustrating when it does. I assume its probably on Google's side as this has been a known issue for years.
Giving my clients full transparency to advertising spend and KPI metrics in a daily updated dashboard. This has allowed me to spend less time responding to emails and pulling manual reports.
It's affordable compared to its competitors, also it's easy to use once you integrate it to GDS.

Supermetrics connects all my #MarkOps data for warehouse, analytics, and reporting. The flexibility of data connections for my business intelligence tools, spreadsheets (both Excel and Google Sheets), data lakes (raw data), and data warehouses (filtered, structured).
Technically Supermetrics works like a champ. I've had non-technical service and support issues related to contracts and renewals, now all worked out. Suggestion for U.S. companies, even though people at the Finish parent company speak perfect English, I prefer working with the U.S. reps due to time zones, holidays, and work ethic (seems stronger on the U.S. side).

I run a performance marketing agency that relies on data to make better-informed decisions. Having Supermetrics available has eliminated a massive amount of time that we used to extract data manually in a really inefficient way. We rely heavily on Google Data Studio reports for both clients and internally in the agency. The data connection provided by Supermetrics means we can get data from all the platforms we use. We can report, analyze and act on the data in a timely way. We would be lost entirely without the Supermetrics for Google Data Studio tool. When we get stuck, the support from Supermetrics has been top-notch.
Trying to price up the anticipated cost of adding a new data source could be improved. I am lucky to be grandfathered into older pricing. If I want to make changes, I'd need to cancel the current license and incur a significant increase in cost to get the same data but grant access to other team members.
Much quicker reporting. We are supporting decision-making in running ads on platforms like Facebook Ads and Google Ads using data we get from Supermetrics. Ad cost importing for platforms other than Google Ads into Google Analytics, for richer data and more meaningful ROAS comparison by channel.
It's a super reliable service that we completely depend on.

Supermetrics makes it simple and easy to successfully get data from one or multiple sources into a centralized place for better analysis and review. Data can often be painful to move or difficult to analyze cross-channel and Supermetrics makes it a lot easier.
The price has steadily creeped up over the past few years. Obviously this is because the value the tool provides proves worth it for the majority of customers and because of continued development towards adding data sources and featurs to the product.
We have an internal database of user generated data from our mobile app where individuals and organizations can access their own data as well as organizational account wide data. Users can see their data in the app and in a web dashboard but it's hard for them to get it out other than via downloading static CSVs. Supermetrics lets us help org accounts get data into a living Data Studio report along with data like social media organic + paid metrics so they can see holistic results of their campaigns.
It's insanely easy to use, after only a few weeks of playing around I was able to set up a new report for a completely new client in less than 30 minutes. Then it's just a few minutes each week to update
Sometimes it can be a little slow and I don't like that I'm on a grandfathered plan that can't be updated without cancelling and resubscribing on the new pricing structure

not really a dislike for supermetrics. but how good supermetrics is, it is still limited by the API allowed by variation data connector. Recently have been receiving many API limits error because of Facebook limitations. resulting in google data studio dashboard throwing errors.

Pricing can be a little restrictive, so we have to be a little careful with how many data sources we connect to.
ALL of our reporting to clients leverage Supermetrics connectors into Google Data Studio. In our experience, there simply isn't anything better. They've even done data blending across platforms like Facebook and Google to unify reporting for standard metrics.
