I like the ease of the software. Finding things is simple and I can filter and create reports suited to what I am working on.
Occasionally the software isn't capable of what I am looking for and that is a bit frustrating.
Customers at our firm that once did books by pen and paper that we have now put into QuickBooks has really improved the organization of their books and makes it easier to do monthly F/S and yearly tax returns. We also use it for payroll which is a great feature.
The QuickBooks desktop offers a very detailed and comprehensive platform for the business accounting of today.
QuickBooks need constant updates and purchases of new software.
QuickBooks desktop provides everything you need for a professional setup of your business accounting.
The reports features & newest features QB has come out with
Certain user authorization privileges are too broad. If they could be more specific, you wouldn't have to be in a all or nothing situation
Benefits acquired from desktop enterprise is the ability to access it whenever I need to from my laptop.
The ability to integrate with so many other programs. Reporting historical data is easy with memorized reports.
We have not found a tool to allow us to track order cancellation reasons.
Sales forcasting, inventory tracking, large order imports, EDI integration.
What I like about quickbooks is that is easy to use, you can have multiple users and good price point.
What I do not like about quickbooks is that there is no approval process for journal entries. It would be extremely beneficial to have the ability to activate an approval process for journal entries and invoices. It would also be beneficial if there were more custom reports.
Quickbooks is an easy to use financial reporting software
I love how easy it is to find the information I need for accounting and billing
I do not like that it is still a little outdated
Quickbooks solves our accounting needs as well as links our database to AR/AP
I like that we can manage hundreds of jobs & customers through one software. Quickbooks makes it easy to run reports & do payroll all in one software.
I dislike how hard it is to manipulate some of the reports we use.
Payroll, Bills, Construction Costs. We realize the benefits in using the software for multiple items.
QuickBooks offers ease of use, from beginners to experienced office administration. We can keep track of our inventory, sales and payables in once place.
There isn't much to dislike about QuickBooks, they do tend to update once or so a year and the new features and moving of old features can make it a headache to get used to again.
Versus other software, QuickBooks is hands down the easiest to learn and use. It's almost full proof to set up your new or existing business within the system.
This was simple to learn and use on a daily bases.
This is easy to use but it would be nice to be able to upload 1099 so that all financial records could be found in one place.
By using this program, I did not have to hire a book keeper to keep up with this information. I also can look t it whenever I need to and understand. I am able to organize the information the way that is best for me to understand an analyze as the business manager.
the vendor and customer center interface
the lock-ups and crashes that will occur frequently when doing multiple tasks
I am able to combine all of my needs from AR to AP in one program
ease of accounting, simple invoicing, customer list
sometimes too many steps to input customer list
inventory management, it's easy to track errors
Very flexible for the particulars common to small business accounting needs. Larger companies that require accounting departments should look at the competition's offering. I've never used QB outside of a small company so that's my context.
Very easy for users to make changes they really shouldn't be making. Can be somewhat avoided with permissions. Would be nice to have cleaner data exports for use with the 3rd party apps. We've found that QB doesn't inherently offer great reports for our needs. Would be nice to have better automated cost allocations for overhead.
Has given us improved cost accounting for our construction jobs. Previously, we relied just on Excel to determine if each job was profitable but now we do so with QB. We started detailing our costs more recently and it has been much easier to find odd charges that otherwise could get lost in the shuffle.
I have used Quickbooks for nearly 12 years now at 3 difference companies, each of those companies ranging in size. Quickbooks is malleable enough to work for each of them, but structured enough so it worked correctly.
The customer service is not great -- calling into the team, I would often feel like I was teaching them something over them teaching me. Because Quickbooks can be set up in so many different ways, the customer service does not offer advice on how to set it up, just there if anything goes wrong (to which they frequently suggest a re-install).
Quickbooks is an easy accounting system to learn with many reporting functions and capabilities.
I was a big fan of the smart search feature. This feature made finding items and asking questions much easier. The report filters were another feature that made my experience much better and easier. I was able to hone in on the data that was most relevant to the task at hand. One of the most important things about Quickbooks is its reliability and security. In today's world there is a lot of cyber attacks and with so much important data being put into Quickbooks, I am glad to know they have very tight security protocols.
I sometimes run into performance issues. For example I will sometimes click on a file and it will take a decent amount of time to finally open up. It is almost as if there is some sort of lag with the program. This is more prevalent when I first start using the program as opposed to later on in the day.
This program helps cut down wasted time for myself and my employees. The program basically does so much of the small and simple bookkeeping tasks that normally take up precious time throughout the day. The filters alone in Qucikbooks drastically cut down on the amount of time employees need to complete their bookkeeping tasks.
QBE is so user-friendly and gives me power and control over my business's finances while being simple and straightforward to use. It helps alleviate the feeling of being overwhelmed that I have felt with other similar software suites. It also allows me to use it anywhere at anytime on most of my devices.
The price is a bit steep. I know that it's cheaper than having an accountant and someone handle payroll, vendor payment, etc, but it took me awhile to be able to work it into the budget.
As a small business owner, I wear many hats. Some of them not so well. QBE allows me to take control of the finances and payroll for my business and do so well, Using GBE will, despite the steep price, end up saving money in the long run.
this is an easy to learn program. user friendly
Many errors occur daily. we have had years of inventory issues. our system crashes approx every 2 weeks
There is nothing to say or explain
If you need to manage finances for your business go to to quick books.
I liked everything about it. There is nothing to dislike about it.
I realized it is easier to do it with quick books than on paper.
QuickBooks is extremely easy to pick up for both accounting professionals and non-accounting professionals. Further, it allows for the use of journal entries and check entry to close the gap between the users.
QuickBooks can become quickly disheveled by uninformed users. Some how, unbalanced transactions can occur.
QuickBooks allows for me to access client information from my computer at any point in time. Also, by having client's all over the country, it is easy to always help them.
The ability to have available the Advanced Inventory Features
I have not had success with the Send Journal Entry to Client Feature
The ability for clients to have many multiple users
The ease of use is the best part about this product. It' intuitive.
There are error messages that pop up during every session. That's annoying.
We are trying to integrate various systems with Salesforce to streamline processes. We haven't realized any benefits yet as this is an ongoing process.
