Ecwid stands out in this category because of how easy to use the platform is. It’s easily one of the most adaptable, which means users can quickly start selling products online. Ecwid is also not a standalone builder, but it does work with a range of platforms, including WordPress. On this platform, you can customize your checkout experience, integrate key apps to help you scale, and even manage your store on the move.

ECWID is by far the most advanced (and easiest) platform I have used to create an online store. But the best part about ECWID, is their outstanding customer service.
Sometimes some features will be missing, its ok tho, their team is always willing to help (and they find correct answers!)
I wanted to advertise on Google Shopping, but all the e-commerce platforms are very "pricy" for what I needed. ECWID has the ultimate solution for this.
Ecwid is affordable and has more features than other platforms, their customer service is brilliant and goes out of there way to help me when I'm stuck. Product entering and checkout are very easy to use and never have an issue! It allows you up to 2500 products, which is a huge amount if you think about it, so this gives me plenty of flexibility in my range There are also plenty of payment gateways, so you never lose a sale
I would like to have Zip pay integrated into Ecwid is it is not currently available, if this was integrated, it would work perfectly for the Australian market as a lot of shoppers use Zip each day, my sales may even increase Apart from that, Ecwid has been excellent and there is not much I don't like about it
They help me drive sales, lot's of tips and it's so easy to use. Comes with an app so I can work on the run! Heaps of apps available, a lot of them are free which is great, this helps me to market and manage my products and advertising.
The integration in real time to Blogspot
I would like to have more width for the description of an item, to introduce a table with technical data etc.
To build a special e-shop for fire and gas detection
Setting up and adding products to my Ecwid store was easy, not a huge learning curve. The customization options were also easy to implement so you could give your store the vibe you wanted.
Honestly I don't really have any downsides, my one suggestion would be to have a level between Venture and Business. There's a huge difference between 100 products and 2500, I wouldn't want to pay for 2500 if I only have 215 products.
I originally set up the store to be able to break my ties with a large online marketplace.
Easy to integrate into my Wix content site. The transaction functionality is intuitive, stable and reliable.
I was a little confused when setting up the store and linking to my content site. The checklist was not updating and I needed to manually check the boxes as 'complete'. Maybe that was something I was doing incorrectly.
I needed a stable and intuitive transaction platform. Wix was good at content but not good with a catalog of items and multiple payment options. I also appreciate the podcasts which provide insight and encouragement.
It makes my store look very professional. It’s easy to customize and edit my merchandise descriptions.
I wish I could edit order info when a customer emails me with an addition or correction, but I think I’ll have to upgrade to have that feature.
Ecwid has allowed me to take orders on my website for my self-published book. It helps me keep track of where I am in the order fulfillment process for each order. It looks so professional that customers think they’re dealing with the staff at a publishing house or fulfillment center rather than a one-woman business operating from a garage.
It is simple to use and has all the options that we need. The best part is the iPhone App which can scan tracking codes and so on. Ecwid is by far the best option when it comes to a versatile and easy to use plattform.
The only thing we would like very much, is to customize the design of the store more user friendly. You have some standard options, but when you can't code in css, you won't be able to go any further. The built in App Store is good, but most of the apps are just too expensive for a (really) small business.
It has revolutionized the way we sell products online. We seamlessly implemented the store in our Wix Site and our customers get all the notifications they need when they ordered a product. AND it has, contrary to our point above, very good apps that ARE FREE and perfect like helpfulcrowd, cleverreach and so on!
Easy Managment, multiple admins, easy integration for Apps.
The wholesale price for the product should be an option in adding a new product, And the wholesale price should be assigned only for a specific customer group, cause percentage is not a good idea for all products since the prophets or each product may differ depending on the importance and needs of each product
No any problems
For years I battled with open source eCommerce shopping carts. There were constant notifications that upgrades were needed to be compliant. These were expensive and frequent. I couldn't keep up with the requests and couldn't make a profit with those expenses. I switched to Ecwid a few years ago and have been very pleased. At one point I had 4 stores but have retired and scaled back to one. They take care of all of the upgrades and that expense. I have had only one question. I contacted technical support and they very quickly and efficiently answered and took care of my issue. I have used all plans at one time or another and found them to be useful and economical. You can't go wrong whether you are just getting into eCommerce or are a seasoned veteran.
I could use a way to limit the number of items a customer can buy.
Ecwid has taken care of all of my eCommerce needs at an economical hassle free price.
Ecwid is very transparent and easy to set up. I have a small business selling my original artwork and the accessories I create from my designs. Ecwid is very user-friendly for people like me--no website design experience required!
I would like to see Ecwid have more print-on-demand partners. I have connected my Printful account and it's so easy to create products and have them appear in my Ecwid store. I'd love to see more partners.
With Ecwid I was able to create an online shopping experience for my customers that is easy, efficient, attractive, and professional. Ecwid makes it look like I know what I'm doing! I'm also a big fan of the marketing tips and data analysis that Ecwid provides.
Integrates with so many products Easy management of shipping and payment Very slick and user friendly interface
Not a lot but would be great to have support e-books and payment provider called PayWay in Australia
We use it to provide a very slick and supportive online store for books and posters. It handles bulk payments, discounts and different order types fantastically!
I love that you can get started for free! Quality is very professional and they keep adding features and improvements. Customer service has been great. It is very flexible and robust and can be used in so many ways. Cost is comparable or better than it's competitors especially if you're starting with the free plan to get your feet wet.
I wish I could customize the look a little more. The standard template seems a bit generic and I can't change things like fonts or sizing or placement of photos. I would prefer something more modern and attractive BUT I've noticed they're definitely improving in this area with new themes. I think it just needs to go a little further within the store. Also, this probably says more about me than Ecwid, but it could be easier to learn. Better step by step tutorials would be great.
I originally liked that I can plug it into my wordpress site, square, facebook and now instagram and not have to edit it in multiple places. I just wish I was actually using all of these features. Again, this says more about me than ecwid but I have a really hard time making time to get everything set up in a way that I really love with all of the other aspects of business i'm dealing with. Not sure what it is, but I can't seem to get to a place where i'm really proud of my shop.
The ease of use to modify products and collect data.
.cvs download can only be modified by selecting columns.
Not only do we sell products but we use it for people to register to attend our events. Each event has different options and it is very easy to duplicate the default event and then customize it for the particular event. Participants can select the options they need and the price varies depending on the selections.
Inventory is imported from Clover and seamlessly integrated into our website and Facebook store . Payments for sales were quick and easy.
Occasional glitches, but support is there and very responsive.
We have started making online sales, which helps our bottom line.
I’m not much of a tech guru. I really like ecwid platform. It’s professional and simple. Customer service is very responsive and helpful each time I reached out. Pricing is good plus there are promotions and discounts here and there.
I haven’t ran into anything I disliked. Maybe promotional period for certain discounts should be available more often or longer. I still would t say I dislike anything so far.
I started a small online store and it’s working great.
I use Google Blogger to sell my products and Ecwid is one of the few that supports a shopping cart on that platform. I was expecting a steep learning curve in order to use the Ecwid as most of these things are but I was pleasantly surprised at the ease of installation and implementation. I was up and going within a few hours. What's more, the company have put a lot of effort into teaching you how to use the Ecwid for promotion of your products.
I was disappointed that there was no free component for those selling downloadable products. However, you can't have everything. Ecwid could provide a little more detail about what the associated apps addons do and how they are implemented before sign up to them. In at least one case it wasn't until I was almost entirely through the signup process when I discovered that the app was not suited to what I need at this stage.
I was having a lot of problems with customers downloading products by going directly through Paypal. Customers naturally wanted simple access to their products and using Papal directly meant they had to go through a bit of a longer process then most seem to want to. Ecwid simplified the process an since I have only had one customer who had some problems and I was able to arrange a simple alternative for them.
Ecwid works seamlessly with my web host (Wix) and with Square Soft. Using it is intuitive and there are a lot of options for variations of products, coupon codes, discounts, shipping. I found that Ecwid was one of the only affordable options for shipping my products via courier service. Also, A++ customer service via live chat.
Setting up shipping and having it sync with the courier service based on location, weight, and dimension was tricky. Took about 4 tries and a few live chats with cust serv to get it to work properly but it works and its reliable now. Ive also found that issuing refunds to customers difficult.
I can set different prices for different options of my products. Some prices are higher than others, but still in one category. People can choose a flavor and it shows the adjusted price for that item right away in the pulldown.
They are helpful and very supportive in helping entrepreneurs
More instagram tutorials and social media integration
Yes especially with instagram
The options for adding product variations is great for my business and keeping track of items.
For some reason the number of total products available isn’t being reduced when orders take place when I have variations put into place. They used to but it’s changed.
It’s helped me control my stock and keep track of what is being sold easier.
I have had to contact the tech support twice now and let me tell you they were so helpful. This is my first ecommerce website. I was actually scared to get started but the templates made it nice and step by step design is so helpful. I like their rates vs. Other website platforms with ecommerce. The do the state by state tax calculation for you and that is so helpful. Print a tax report each month and submit for each state. Promise this is one of the best programs for this sometimes time consuming task.
So many payment processing platforms, it's a good thing but can be overwhelming.
I needed a way to sell my products across the U.S.A. My benefits have been the consumers are able to see all the products I offer.
