Easyship is so close to being a really useful and great service. But there is a communication breakdown at many steps. We wanted a service that could send surveys to our kickstart backers and handle all shipping needs. That is what we thought we were getting; instead, I have been having to hold hands and execute this project every step of the way, which is a waste of my time and not what we wanted. Additionally, Flat Export, OrangeDS, and Passport are all so bad they should be removed from your platform. If this had just been a UPS, USPS as the only option this would have been slightly better but with the added headaches of trying to get support on missing packages from the offered couriers this whole thing has turned into a frustrating experience. Support never followed up on emails multiple times and instead just left us hanging for solutions on why Easyship was having problems. This is not what we wanted to be doing at all.
The platform looks sleek at the beginning. Wait till you start actually using it and lose your customers because of their mistakes.
Where to start? If it was only the lost parcels, poor logistics services and extremely late deliveries, I would have simply stopped using your service quietly without posting negative reviews, because I know nothing can be perfect and it is hard to start and grow a business. But after I realised (by chance, while looking at my credit card statement for something unrelated) that you charged me hundreds of dollars in the past 8 months, and you subsequently refused to refund it despite black and white emails from your team saying that you would not charge me, I realised that it was not just INCOMPETENCE but also DISHONESTY. Conclusion: I wish someone had warned me before I started working with Easyship for my business, and I hope that my warning will save at least a few e-commerce merchants all that wasted money and time.
I used Easyship (among other platforms) mostly to ship B2C orders for cross-border e-commerce. Lost countless parcels, been systematically overcharged because of "weight discrepancies" (it became such a problem that I manually re-weighted and re-measured every single SKU, made sure all the info was right before shipping, but these dubious charges kept coming anyways), and worse still, got upgraded without my knowledge or consent to a premium account while I had been assured black on white (I have the emails to prove it) by their support team that it would not happen. Funny enough, unlike virtually ALL SAAS COMPANIES, they did not bill me for these charges, no email, no notifications, not included in the monthly billing recaps, they did not appear anywhere except my credit card statement which I randomly looked at 8 month later when hundreds of dollars had already been taken by these people. I gave them a fair chance at making it right, but 58 emails later they went from "It's not our fault at all, no refund" to "It's not our fault, but here's 50% of the amount in Easyship credit" to "Ok it's our fault but the best we can do is compensate you for the amount in Easyship credit" before finally having their head of customer service Ryan Beardsley reversing course and telling me that it was actually my fault. Save your time, money and sanity and stay away from Easyship. Try Pirateship maybe?

Interface is acceptable. Website is so full of bugs, it's crazy. Make a shipment, label is rejected. No explanation, of course. But I get a mail DHL was notified to pick up my item. But my label was rejected (no explanation) so what do I do? This is one example in many. This site is terrible, it rarely works. Frustrated beyond description.

They lost one big shipment for 10 days then refused to ship on to new location. I paid for early collect which they did not do, took them 4 days to collect initially and they refused to return additional fees charged for early collection. Tried one more shipment, paid for it and again they have not collected the shipment and ignore my request for refund. They do not care and take no responsibility, just take money

It's not easy to find a fulfillment center with a good platform that is user friendly and easy to understand. Easyship has all you need! In addition, you get an account manager that takes care of all your problems (And there are always problems). Highly recommended!
Their rates are not the cheapest..but that's what we call Value for Money
I don't need to send a personal email to get a quote. You get it right away on their platform. You don't need to wait 2 days to get the tracking#. Once the order is uploaded, you get the tracking# immediately.

Global shipping problems
I get a lot of orders from overseas, and Easyship allows me to gain access to couriers I normally wouldn't and at really great prices. In addition to this, I can see upfront what the expected taxes and duties on arrival will be so I can help communicate this to my customers ahead of time.
Sometimes a courier will have a delay and I'm not able to get a response on why. This would likely be the same if I was shipping directly with the courier though so I can't complain.

If there was an option to choose a blanket product category so that you don't need to select it every time you ship an item for the first time, that would be good.
Being able to ship all my items from one platform. Also being able to access all shipping options. I can't use every shipping service via shopify, so Easyship allows me to compare prices / timing more efficiently.
I thought I was already getting good discount prices through my existing channels. I started tepidly looking at and using Easyship for some shipments and then realized that, on domestic shipments, even my best discounts could not compare with what I would get through Easyship. Plus, the site is so easy to use and labels generate quickly and easily. I like that Easyship provides different carrier options transparently with the pricing for each one laid out very clearly so I can make the most informed selection for each shipment. I wish I had started using Easyship sooner.
For domestic shipments Easyship has really saved me money. For international shipments I find that in some cases my discounts I get through other channels turn out to be better. I have to compare because it depends on the destination and the shipment size and weight.

some delays in responding, but that's acceptable. Sending the same type of box, from the same source address to the same destination address is troublesome, very complicated. "Duplicating a shipment" means separate payments using a card, which is not only complicated, but after ordering 10 labels (10 separate payments, for 10 identical boxes) our card was temporary blocked by VISA. We had to call to resolve the situation. Please find a method to create more than one order, and pay for ALL these orders only once !!! thanks

Even though we are just a small brand, Easyship provided us with outstanding service and competitive shipping rates. They are easily reachable whenever we have any questions and/or issues with shipping. It is such an advantage to be able to provide customers calculated shipping rates and present to them a sample computation of customs charges they might have to pay. These two features allows the customers to have a more transparent shopping experience and improve their sense of security & faith towards the brand.
Would like to see more competitive rates for DHL/UPS/Fed-ex services though. Also the ability offer shipping with return labels incase the customers want to change their mind.

I am still fairly new to using this service, but since I've used easyship it's been a true pleasure to ship packages for my gifting business. The service is very user friendly and so easy to use.I primarily use this service for simply shipping out my customized gift boxes, I would like to explore the other features on easy ship and see how I can integrate them into my website background.
I wish that there were more affordable ground shipping options for my business. Easyship only gives me priority shipping options which is wonderful, but I would also like to affordable ground shipping options. I also dislike that when using USPS the ETA of the package arrival is always off (it's way way to far out and it's difficult to give my customers a true ETA) when I use priority 2 day. I'm not sure if this is the fault of easyship, but I wish it was more accurate.
Very easy to create labels and cuts my time at the post office since my label is already created I don't have to wait in line at the post office I can literally just drop it off and go on about my day.
Easy set up, usability and it does work well most of the time.
They have not thought through and fixed simple issues like: not enough fields in the shipping details, compatibility between shipper/courier's requirement and product dimensions, etc. Also, as an Easyship customer, you DON'T have access to resolve issues directly with the courier company, and you don't build up a track record with the courier service. So you have to sit and wait patiently for Easyship to respond, which can take more than 24 hours at times. So be prepared for some stressful situations. Also, I had a call once from the courier company who had internal issues with Easyship and was holding off the pickup unless Easyship resolved it. That made me very uncomfortable - and remembered the 3rd party risk - my money goes to Easyship before it goes to the courier company. But for now, I have no other viable alternative.
