ActiveCampaign is an integrated marketing tool that easily automates email marketing strategies and creates targeted campaigns. While automated marketing is a core component of the system, ActiveCampaign is a powerful tool that can do so much more. The software is known for being able to deliver a personalized experience across all customer touchpoints, track buyer behavior and preferences, customize send-outs, and gather data from every stage of the customer lifecycle, just to name a few.

ActiveCampaign Automations are powerful - it helps us in setting up actions and workflows based on different trigger points and custom events or webhooks. It's highly customizable and extendable allowing us to perfect it to our needs.
- The dashboard has improved well in the past few months, but still is very slow - Many activities take time to be updated and reflected (applying tags in bulk, importing contacts through Google Sheets) - HTML editor is amazing but would love to see HTML editing + drag&drop (something like what Stripo does)
Email marketing and automation to bulk contacts
Tags are super helpful to segment groups
Sometimes the system can be glitchy or slow
They have saved us a ton of money switching to our own email marketing
Automation & drap & drop template builder
Overall performance and speed of the dashboard
We have to create complex automation for different audience segments based on their activity & responses which is easily resolved by active campaign.
Powerful automation allows you to automate common routines and improve customer interaction
Pricing can be high for smaller businesses just starting out
Reduce staffing costs with common tasks. Improve customer experience.
I would say our top favorite features are the automations, the CRM, and then integrated Gmail functionality. We are just learning all that's possible with automations, but the flexibility and creativity you can come up are genius and powerful! We moved from having email forms go from our website into someone's person inbox. With automations, we now have so much that can be done to engage a potential partner. The CRM is a tool our Partnership team uses every day. Again, moving from personal inboxes to a tool every person on the team can see the progress of what's happening, predict closings, is just a massive help. Then, this wouldn't be possible without the very recent deep integration with Google email accounts. Being able to see the entire email history on contacts and deals, and then being able to send either from your inbox or from ActiveCampaign makes it easier for our team.
What we would love most would be the ability to build custom reports, save those, and then have them emailed to us on a regular schedule. Having to go create a report every time, and then have it being pretty limited, is time-consuming, and therefore means we don't do it like we need to. Having either small report clips being able to be saved on the dashboard when you log in, and especially having the ability to schedule a report be sent weekly for our executive team meetings would be a huge win. I know this would be a pain for ActiveCampaign, so I can't say I dislike it, but having the ability to store attachments from forms people fill out would be incredible. While we can link files when we send things out, being able to send an email out and collect either a PDF or Word document from them would be great.
Our life before ActiveCampaign were data silos. All work was done in personal inboxes. The moment that happened, visibility of work went to zero. Collaboration was difficult, forwarding emails back and forth. Also, we had a volunteer who would have to go put this information manually into a database. Now, data rolls in by itself.
The automations are great. I'm still learning.
Changes to navigating tool bar on side. A little confused sometimes. Big learning curve.
With the help of my upline, I'm learning how to be more consistently in touch with my audience.
AC is a relatively easy tool to learn and use, especially for the price!
A little bit of a learning curve to set up, but they have amazing support with live people to walk you through everything.
Email marketing and deal tracking, able to see how many leads are coming in and converting to paying customers, all on autopilot.
you have ever someone that help you in all the operations that you need to do
in this moment, I think that you don't have any other instrument that works better than this one
first of all' I can communicate with all my clients with just one tool
Access to online support help and 1:1 support calls is essential. Other support tools are good, too.
Online support is not always available. Onboarding was difficult and support information was not always accurate.
ActiveCampaign saves time and helps me engage customers and target warm leads.
That the platform is very easy to use, it provides everything you need to have a perfect experience and complete the goals
Nothing. I love everything up untill now.
Its helping us clean our database and start implementing automation as a part of our strategy to improve our marketing results.
The event based system and the integration, esp. Zapier is very powerful
Long loading times stopped us to create even more automations
Trial funnel automation emails.
Very easy to use. Great functionality. Exceptional customer service and best pricing in class.
I don't have anything that I really dislike - the editor could be a little more user friendly and have more options, but this is really me being picky.
We use it for managing our leads and for working without customers. Email campaigns, automations and CRM.
The chat feature is helpful to talk to an agent who can point you in the direction of a video or give you the pathway to solve your problem.
I don't have any downsides on my mind at the moment. It has been a great CRM.
Collecting emails from many different platforms that Active Campaign is integrated with is a great benefit. Email campaigns with stats are helpful. Creating automations for email campaigns is also a benefit. Segmenting lists to where people came from is another benefit.
It has everything in one. I pay one pric
E and make my hole funnel with it. No need to use ick funnel etc. Plus the help you get is amazing.
That I don't have to spend so much time on different places
Support, speed, ease. That's what I like best
Nothing bad to say! Don't know what else to type here
everything related to back end and even customer experience management!
Active Campaign has some great segmentation and automation features but what makes this tool stand out is how simple and reliable it is to use. It's so easy to segment my contacts and build automatiosn that it actually feels fun and easy inside active campaign whereas with other apps it can appear very daunting and clunky to use.
The only thing I dislike, is login/download speed - it can take a minute to load the dashboard and that slows my browser/PC down a bit but recently it's improved and load up time has been fast.
We started using Active campaign mainly for automation but we are increasingly using it to improve the customer experience by focussing on the customer journey. We're also planning on using it as more of a CRM this year.
I love how easy and intuitive it is to use ActiveCampaign. The interface is easy to navigate, the analytics are clear, and it's easy to set up automations! The thing I appreciate the most is how ActiveCampaign helps me feel in control of (1) what I send out, (2) how I send it out, and (3) measure the results of each campaign :)
The only tough part is the pricing as I'm just starting up, and the lowest-tier package is at a price point that still puts a bit of strain on my finances — I only have 25 subscribers right now!
It helps me stay consistent in sending weekly newsletters to my subscribers! Email marketing is a huge part of my digital marketing ecosystem, and it's what I use to deliver my bi-weekly blogs to my audience, as well as have a more intimate experience with my closest supporters.
Ease of creating automations. Scoring of deals. Ability to send conditional content based on customers interest.
I can't think of anything that I don't like. If I could come up with something, it would be minor.
Saving lots of time versus manual repetitive email marketing. Ability to test different email marketing options. Tracking customer interactions.
The endless options when it comes to automations makes it really easy to set up campaigns to go to new leads and develop new business opportunities, it's great.
Some times creating the sales pages could be alittle easier as often it can be abit difficult to place items in the exact location that you want them to sit on the page.
The ability to schedule and automate emails to build up engagement for my email marketing. Yeah I am more productive now as result of active campaign. Yeah business performance has improved.
