I've used many different video editors over the years, ranging from super janky to the pinnacle of performance and technology. I've got to say that VEED is more than enough for probably 90% of anybody in the modern world looking to edit video in a quick, simple way. Nearly any tool, animation, etc you could ever need, loads of customization, and really cool modern options like Magic Cut, Eye Contact, and Transcription. The only thing I wouldn't use this for would be something like a high end TV or film production. Great stuff, highly reccomended!
Uploads of media sometimes fail at critical moments, however I'm not 100% sure if that issue si on my end or VEED's. Not really worth getting upset about, considering it doesn't happen all that often and everything they get RIGHT far outweighs this minor inconvenience.
It is allowing me to finally get all my editing DONE without needing a dedicated machine costing $20k.
Not many creative and productivity apps live up to their promises these days but Veed really does live up to its promises. I used to use Adobe Premier Pro as a seasoned user, but knew how long it would take for me to fiddle with and edit videos. Veed cuts out a lot of that time and, whilst it doesn't offer as much freedom, it's a fuss-free way of cutting, editing and exporting a video for social when time is limited.
I love the control it does give, but I'm hungry for just a bit more, for example adjustments and colour correction are a little basic. And whilst the Magic Cut feature is the biggest time saving element, it's far from accurate for videos with multiple bad takes, often splicing the wrong clips together. Still a time saver overall though. Finally, some of the features sat in higher up pricing tiers are a little frustrating - SRT downloads shouldn't be much to ask for if the text has been auto-generated.
It's solving my lack of time and helping me to speed up the process of editing videos.
I love the simplicity of the interface. The design uses all the best practices of most editing sofwares which makes it easy for someone like me, someone that uses Adobe and Davinci Resolve on a regular basis, to enter that space without a big change in workflow. VEED.io is often the second stage of my editing. Meaning, many of the tasks that would much more time in other editors takes much less time; Drag and drop. It's a nice compliment to my workflow, saving me countless hours and headaches.
Web-based editors are notorious for bugs and inconsistencies in functionality and VEED.io is no different. Things like errors when using certain elements, or longer than usual load times can be annoying at times. However, with a quick refreadh of the page, you're typically back in business.
Saving time, saves money.
I started using VEED for the automated subtitles and have found that it does a brilliant job with almost 100% accuracy. I now use it exclusively for all captions physically burned onto videos and couldn't be happier with it. It has saved me a lot of time transcribing it and the style options have maded it more useful in the long run. Easy to apply and update the subtitles as needed as well.
The only downside is not being able to move subtitle sections seperately, some videos I can't leave them in the same spot all the way through because of various things. I have worked around this for now though butt that is my only issue.
It's helping reduce time spent transcribing and applying captions to videos.
The subtitling system is excellent, and it's easy to quickly reformat videos for different social platforms. A nice variety of transition effects, and I also appreciate the easy-to-use waveform creator.
Small glitches occur not infrequently when trying to edit a full video on this platform (i.e. videos not staying in the right place on the timeline). Nothing you can't overcome with a little patience though.
VEED allows me to generate subtitles quickly, easily, and format them to best fit a variety of video aspect ratios for various social platforms.
The ease of use! It doesn't get much easier than this. I really love the intelligent features like the audio clean-ups and magic cuts; they make my job really easy. I'm not a professional video editor, so its great to have a toll that has a small learning curve and helps me get the job I need to do without bringing in a full-stack video team or editor. Also, love the substitling tool! Has saved me a lot of time.
Often renders take a little longer than one would want. Sometimes there are slight glitches in the final render as well. Nothing too insane but would be great if those weren't in there.
Helps me easily edit videos for social media. Saves me a lot of time because I don't have to bring on a video agency or a video editor and hand hold them through the video.
The best thing about VEED is the ease of use, and how literally anyone even without any prior knowledge of professioanl video editing softwares can use this on any machine. The fact that you don't have to install any heavy softwares to use VEED makes it amazing. Super easy to generate subtiles, which are pretty accurate. Lots of styles available for sriting the texts on the videos, etc.
They need to have better customer support system in place; it is not as robust as one would expect from a company running on cutting edge technology. A few more features they must incorporate like chaging the playback speed.
The biggest problem that VEED solves for me is the automatic subtitle generation and sometimes translation as well. Honestly, it is a life saver. Not only does it generates pretty accurate subtitles using voice recognition, it also gives several templates and customization options to change the apearance of the subtitles that appear on the text. It also makes it easy to divide work among the team without having to transfer data from one team member to another. Just upload the video on VEED and the team members can work on it until it reaches the audience. Then,, the fact that I do not need to carry bulky desktop machine everyhwere and I can log into practically any computer from around the world and finish my work, makes it super useful for me.
For my purposes, the best part about VEED is that it's a video editor designed with the most modern distribution platforms in mind. My business has a lot of video content that was originally created for the typical widescreen type of platform with no need for subtitles, hooks, or alternative looks. VEED is an all-in-one platform that allows me to easily edit and redistribute those videos for the specific platforms I want to target.
The downside of using VEED is that, as an online platform, videos occasionally glitch, skip, or buffer during playback--especially when editing and playing back small, detailed snippets of clips. It can be a little bit tricky getting an accurate playback of a clip that's, say, .5 seconds long. It's granular enough to cause smooth playback issues. Even with that in mind, that's just as much a reflection of my own internet speed as it is VEED's platform. It's an inherent flaw in having a video editing software that's online as opposed to one that's a desktop application.
My business has, for a while, needed to transition our video content to the newer, vertical platforms. With our old video software apps, repurposing our video content for the vertical platforms was a daunting task. VEED has cut the time it takes to repurpose those videos in half--easily.
I love all the features available! I found VEED because I needed an easy way to add captions to my videos for my high school classes. It is such an easy site to use and I was able to get going right away. Soon I was uing it to so much more than add captions to my videos created in another program. I can record myself and my screen, add and edit captions, plus there are many great arrows and text features I use to enhance my videos.
I have 3 brand new courses this year so I am making a ton of videos with captions which is a bit pricey but my students really benefit from having captions so I have to have the largest package to cover the amount of videos I create in a month.
VEED allows my classes to be flexibly paced because I can offer my class lectures on video. Students can watch, rewind or fast forward and pause at the parts they need. It has changed the way my classroom works. I can now be available to help students instead of lecturing to an entire class at once. I love that adding captions is so accurate too. I still check every word because I teach computer science and our terminology is not used in everyday language but I rarely have to change the captions.
That its super easy & seemless to use, even a non editor can do it without any issues
The non-availbility of stablizer option.
Veed let's me create videos super easily & quickly for my clientals. I am a soloprenure & veed makes my life easy to cater my clientals video needs.
Its quite frankly is very easy to use. I am no not a professional video edidtor and some of the options out there that I have tried are just very intricate and overwhelming.
As I said before I am no pro, there may be something that are not good about the software but for me it honestly is a great fit.
Turn around time for my videos. I can do quick edidts with Veed, clean up my vidoes and and some flare within a few minutes. The last software I was using took me a while so I was paying someone lese to do my ediditing . Time back and forth plus the money$$ it stunk.
I love the AI captions. Easy to use. I use it all the time and the captions are quick, simple and easy. I also love the sound effect library and video/gif library.
It dosen't support MOV format. I edit in Final Cut Pro and need to use a third party to convert to MP4
Easy, accessable socal media videos!
Easy to use and has the base features needed.
Sometimes we bring it in Instagram afterward because of these 3 things 1. Limited music selection (Instagram has a huge selection of modern music) 2. Filters quality ()Instagram has a huge selection of very specific filters. I use a grain filter specifically) 3. The caption styles look a little wonky. The caption style in Instagram looks very modern and sleek.
Reduced time to edit and create videos for social media content
I create a substantial amount of content, and Veed significantly expedites my workflow. The subtitle feature, in particular, not only saves me time but also provides superior accuracy compared to subtitles generated on various social platforms. Therefore, I exclusively rely on Veed for all my subtitle needs.
Very expensive and buffering of video after rendering is slow
Helps me add subtilte quickly and accurately.
What I really like about the product that it is very easy to learn and for a non designer a really user friendly tool. Some of it's AI features are really cool, I regularly use the auto caption AI feature along with the eye contact correction where even if I am not looking at the camera after the edit it looks like I am looking straight at it.
It still doesn't have a lot of features of transition of quick editing. Plus it can get really slow if you add a lot of layers in one single video
Quick video editing and AI tools of auto caption!
Subtitles and ease of importing and exporting content. Very easy to implement. Custome support was fantastic. Use it almost daily. Variety of features to try. Very easily integrated.
Everything has been good and nothing negative as of now.
The main problem VEED is solving is not needing different types of softwares on different PCs. Instead everthing is there online and can be retrieved easily. One stop solution for everything video related.
I have been using Veed for years now to create content for clients and use it on a weekly basis. I like that the team at Veed is always developing the platform and adding new features like the automatic resizing tool for other social formats. What I have found really helpful is the help support, if I ever have any questions the team is really helpful and help you to reach a resolution. I also like that all my previous videos are stored. I find Veed very easy to use.
I would like more flexibility with cleaning up background sound, as if the background noise is loud it simply removes all sound. Other than that I am pretty happy!
I make a lot of content and Veed helps me to quickly do this. Also the subtitle function really helps me to save time and is much more accurate than subtitles generated within social platforms so I prefer to use Veed for all subtitles.
It's massively intuitive, and you don't need a degree to use it. A huge plus for a non-video specialist. The platform transforms your video in no time, particularly with its vast number of features...
It can be slow to catch up sometimes. However, this is a rare occurrence and a simple refresh normally brings the platform back to the present.
It allows us to make speedy videos for social media as well as webinar shorts for promos that are then sent out via email, helping to boost our subscriptions.
In my case, with the pro plan, the number of high-quality features means that VEED is one of the best applications for marketing departments that don't want to hire video editing professionals. The resources available are endless and their high quality has allowed the platform to be applied not only to our company but also to developing clients through video marketing strategies.
I'd say there could be just one or two more functions for working with video. Functions like freezing the video for a certain time, for example. That's a little disappointing because we already see mobile phone applications with these kinds of features.
Above all, its capabilities allow a human and a computer to do the work that would normally be done by several humans, in terms of voices and recordings. VEED has helped performance and financial health as it allows the company not to have to hire a video editing professional.
VEED is extremely user friendly! There aren't too many or too few options to customize the clip or video you're working on. The best part about VEED are the subtitles and the ability to cut sentences to the length you desire without messing up the audio portion. Audio and visual stay paired together.
I would like to be able to position the subtitles in a different area of my clip rather than the same position throughout the entire clip. This would help with different camera angles.
Our content needs subtitles so that's the number one reason why I utilize VEED. It's benefiting me by saving me time from having to manually transcribe what's being said and it allows others to enjoy the content we produce if they're unable to hear what is being said.
