Quickbase has allowed mostly tech-savvy business people to create an application that fits the way we do business. When an "off the rack" system didn't fit, we were able to stitch together our own tailored system.
We found the mobile use of our Quickbase application to be a little underwhelming. While everything is possible, it does not flow and function nearly well enough to be a robust mobile solution.
Cooper Steel has developed a tailored project management application that fits us well as a specialty contractor in the construction space. The ability to automate data integrations between systems via the QB Pipeline component has been huge allowing us to integrate data between our financial platform and HR environments.
I've been using Quickbase for nearly twenty years to help me run my businesses. It is flexible, functional, and easy to use. Highly recommended.
The original Quickbase user interface was outstanding. Over the years, new UX teams have made the UI gradually more cumbersome, but still usable.
I use it for content management, customer resource management, order history tracking, and numerous other purposes. It's my default "go to " DBMS app.
Ease of being able to build a simple, shareable database. And when more complexity is needed, with a small amount of time, almost anything can be accomplished.
No dislikes at this point. Very happy with what we have accomplished in using it.
Workflow managment is the primary. We also link completed work into our QuickBooks for ease of invoicing customers.

You are able to create applications from scratch so what your workflow is, not having to put your workflow into a predetermined workflow or template. Pipelines has been amazing at automating processes throughout our organization. Quickbase is always advancing their technology through new processes, functionalities, and designs.
Some of the new stuff gets buggy, but they are amazing at fixing bugs in a very timely manner.
What isn't Quickbase solving in my organization. We have been able to use this to bridge gaps in process workflows, create new workflows, automate a lot of mundane processes, and created efficiencies in so many areas.

For me, Quickbase has proven to be a robust replacement for Excel sheets. The ability to manage and organize data in a centralized platform has significantly improved my team's workflow. I have personally learned Quickbase by myself and created several applications that are currently used by the memebers of my team on a daily basis. Since the transition from legacy forms, I especially like its user-friendly and highly customizable new forms as they are a lot more appealing. I also loke the fact that Quickbase excels in providing a quick deployment process. Setting up databases and applications is straightforward whitout any headacke. I have successfuly integrated my quickbase apps with other quickbase apps through relationships. I haven't contacted customer support as I never had to, but there are plenty of resources online on the forms and the QB acadamy provides pretty much all the required information.
While Quickbase offers impressive customization options for forms, I've found the platform to have limitations when it comes to formatting. There are times when I wish there were more advanced formatting features, especially for reports and outputs.
Time saving - Quickbase is considered a one stop shop for our team. We've managed to centralize multiple repositories and we also have an overview from other apps, whitout having to switch from one app to another.
It's easy to build with no code and we can connect it easily to other tools to build reports and download data.
You must create your own governance plan; implementation needs thought. Also, they rolled out Pipelines much too early with little support.
Quickbase manages all of our projects in our department. We're able to use Quickbase to easily share data across departments as well.
Quickbase has helped us transform many business processes that were using multiple tools. With Quickbase we are able to collaborate, build workflows and then develop the reports and dashboards to view those results all in one platform.
The form builder component is overdue for a new UI. This was previewed at Empower 2022 but has not been released. The mobile usage of Quickbase needs to be more on par with the desktop experience. There needs to be more control over how items are displayed on mobile.
Quickbase allows us to take manual, swivel chair processes and streamline those into one tool. Our business unit citizens are empowered to build solutions without having developer-level skills. We are able to build solutions faster and more cost-effectively.

I like the ease of functionality, very straightforward but still easy to cater toward your needs.
Some of the little detailed functions get swept over and can be difficult to go back and figure out what exactly was changed in the app.
Great to be able to work within a team to tackle jobs that need to get done all together. Love that we can communicate where we are within a project to each other in QuickBase.
From an administrative standpoint, I love the ease of use and flexibility of customization. From a project standpoint, I love that the whole team can see the same data real time.
It can be a little clunky at times. And it isn't intuitive for some of our team.
I understand they are updating some of the interfaces to be more user-friendly. This should help our teams be able to get into the system and begin adding content much faster.
There are many things that I love about Quickbase but if I have to choose one, it is being fast. You live up to your name QUICK. Many people do not understand how fast it is. We work with thousands of records and in some table we have more than 1000 fields, and yet when you search it or create a custom report, everything is almost instantenous. You gotta love it.
Blocking Javascripts. We still can use Javascripts for some imports to multiple tables at the same time, and I know through Pipelines similar can be done, but it is not the same. But that is all. Everything else is amazing about Quickbase.
I wouldn't say problems. But Quickbase enables me to create anything that we need, from Mobile usage, to complex Billings etc.
The ability of a company or part of a company to build an application to help them manage business functions without having to hire an entire development team to accomplish their goals. It is scaleable and multi purpose. It can link to other software platforms and has automation functions to allow workflows to be automated.
It doesn't have the prettiest or most robust graphing and reporting interfaces inherently.
We took our manual time reporting, invoicing, and project management out of email inboxes and excel files and into a database that links everything up so we have real-time reporting and line of site into progress of our projects.

Automating processes and decreases manual work. 5. Numerous third party integrations. 6. Data is highly Secure with in Quickbase and Can be customized to the individual access.
