What do you like best about iContact?

As a consultant, I need software that is easy for new users to train on, and to get up to speed. I Contact is pretty user-friendly.

iContact Pro supplies customized templates for our business. Additionally, the tracking capabilities are very strong. Customer support is very good.

What do you dislike about iContact?

Some of the design functions could be more intuitive and easier to use. The process of adding mailing lists can be cumbersome involving several steps. Could be simplified.

The business problem attempting to be solved is ongoing, effective, consistent communication with clients and prospects.

What do you like best about iContact?

I like having a knowledgeable Strategic Advisor to make suggestions and help elevate my email marketing. It is easy to manage contacts, apply custom fields, and track engagement with each contact.

What do you dislike about iContact?

I dislike that their software is accessible for people with disabilities. This is a great opportunity. Technical issues are preventing the tool from being used to its fully capacity.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

With iContact Pro, we have found a robust, email marketing tool. Benefits include a/b testing capability, integration with other software like Google Analytics.

Easy usability for the most part. I like the new interphase but the program overall lacks major features that other ESP have like MailChimp.

The program overall lacks major features that other ESP have like MailChimp. I don't like how there is a small upload limit in the image library.

We use this at my church and use it to send out emails and notifications to my congregation.

What do you like best about iContact?

I use iContact for email marketing and the campaign creation, template editing, and email scheduling all work great for our needs.

What do you dislike about iContact?

The platform is not very user-friendly if you have no experience in it. Once you've got the hang of it, you're golden.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

It's a solution to our complex email marketing problems (i.e. needing to send emails to different types of "clients" with opposite needs"

"Gets the job done, but you need to have some coding skills"
What do you like best about iContact?

iContact makes it difficult for a novice to get the desired result. Often the test email looks different than the building platform and even pop up preview. After using it for a while you learn some tricks, but if you want quality emails you will need to learn a little html.

What do you dislike about iContact?

Design options are not flexible or intuitive

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

We mostly use it to alert customers of our in store and ecommerce sales. We have seen good click through rates.

"iContact makes mass email marketing much easier for my entire team! "
What do you like best about iContact?

I like the simplicity it allows me to schedule social media updates (tweets, etc.) the most. It saves me around an hour per day by eliminating all of the self-scheduling I previously had to do to keep track of our 5 (and counting) social media pages.

What do you dislike about iContact?

I do not have much negativity when it comes to iContact other than it is difficult to access any online or telephone support when I have an error or question as to how to use a feature I've never used before. The site takes a while to load & I'm yet to actually speak to a human over the phone when I have a question.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are solving our conflicts of time management with social media and realized how much easier it can be when you use a streamlined software that takes our social pages to the next level. It was something that seemed so complicated before that needed an extra person (or intern) to operate daily, but now I'm able to fit it into my schedule with little hassle.

What do you like best about iContact?

The support crew. Also, the fairly easy way to take an IContact template and add my own touches.

What do you dislike about iContact?

I would like to have a warning to people that do not contact means they cannot resubscribe. (did you fix this yet?) Many were surprised when they forwarded the newsletter to people who 'accidentally' then put the forwarder on the 'Do not contact' list. I also would like to the 'move' button available on all the subscriber lists. It's hard to place people from one list to another without maneuvering through the strategy that finally brings the 'Move' icon where I can use it.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

I'm not trained well enough, but have been able to let many people know of my schedule and offerings.

What do you like best about iContact?

iContact staff is quick to respond and they are very friendly.

What do you dislike about iContact?

The templates aren't the easiest to work with and there is no easy way to toggle between HTML and the drag-n-drop template.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

We are able to communicate with many audiences at once and customize their messages. We haven't seen any benefit from using iContact specifically.

What do you like best about iContact?

Standard ESP that's easy to use, but the best option is the non-opener scrub list they provide, that helps you keep your list clean, and open rates high.

What do you dislike about iContact?

Deliverability can be an issue if you're in a bad shared pool.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

I have a huge email database, Icontact allows me to segment and send with ease, without as many constrictions as Constant Contact has on the account.

I am familiar with it and it's somewhat easy to use. I have been using it for over 5 years and find that it pretty user friendly.

The social media posting do not work and I have reached out to get support and despite the fact that they tell me they are working, they do not.

I am sharing my information with my customers. I have realized that email marketing does work.

What do you like best about iContact?

The live chat is the only reason I started liking iContact. Chat support is available 24 hours, they connect with you upon seconds sometimes, and some of them go above and beyond to help you.

What do you dislike about iContact?

I was used to Constant contact so the switch to templates felt extremely limited. I had a hard time trying to get rid of empty spaces between sections and blocks. These parts are not very user friendly. Also, when you send emails to lists you should have the option to select all lists instead of having to check each box.

What problems is iContact solving and how is that benefiting you?

Sending biweekly newsletters and event invitations.

What do you like best about iContact?

I like that I can easily send out a professional, visually engaging email to all of our members at the same time and track which links and articles are most clicked on from the email. I also like that my emails remain branded and that I can create new emails using existing templates without starting from scratch.

What do you dislike about iContact?

I have had trouble with the body of the email - little kinks like having to use notepad to paste copied text into before copying into iContact and image issues such as sometimes once an email is sent, a previously larger image from the preview or test shows up tiny. Also, it's annoying that I cannot use my internet explorer. I have to use firefox or things are not displayed correctly. Also, the preview feature is not useful, as the emails are displayed differently by different email providers and the emails do not adjust to fit different devices. I also have had trouble with support from the Philippines - usually I end up solving the problem myself after lots of wasted time of trial and error - when support should be able to quickly solve the issue.

We are able to get information about our products and services out to our members as well as update them on current events and send educational information to them as well, easily and effectively. Benefits are enhanced communication, the possibility of increased profits and informed members.
