The application is very intuitive, especially for saving passwords after logging in, also the mobile application is really good and works pretty well with Android and iOS.
You can only pay annually, which is pretty bad if you are for example outsourcing professionals, even if you hire someone for a couple of months, you have to pay an annual license of Dashlane, so this makes this product very expensive. Finally, after a year of NOT using it because it's too expensive for a mid-size company, I've spent half an hour trying to cancel my subscription to discover there is NO way you can cancel it using the dashboard, so I'm contacting support to see how this process is done. I will recommend looking for other alternatives that can be paid on a monthly basis and are not forcing you to renew by hiding the cancel button.
We were using dashlane to share passwords between all our different departments, making sure the passwords keep updated and that only the people that are allowed have access to it.
Browser auto fill is nice. It does have a tendency to add more identities for the same domain and then not know if you change your password on the same domain which then results in a ton of duplicates. IE: Office.com will be remembered but then if you change the password it might pick it up as a new user name and password for auth.office.com. Then it will try to automatically sign you in with the incorrect one. These could be coming from unreliable syncing also.. I am not sure.
Cost vs. Value. A price hike without adequate or clear notification.
None. Password sync most of the time...
We migrated from LastPass and it was a relatively painless experience. Retaining the full password history has saved me a few times so far. Syncing users and groups from Active Directory is also a great time saver.
I'm not a fan of the chatbot on their website. It never seems to fail over to a real person when the bot can't provide an answer.
Dashlane is the perfect too to safeguard our personal and business data while online. It's ease of use as a password manager is top notch.
We have 3 employees, and use Dashlane to store all passwords. The password generator means we have complex and, most importantly, unique passwords for all different sites. The system monitors for leaks on the darkweb and notifies us if a website we have a password for is hacked or whatever, we then go in and change the password. It automatically prompts when we change a password, so the system is updated, and we have a sharing centre where we can share passwords with each other, we can even do this such that the other staff member can have dashlane fill the password but doesn't actually know what it is - so they can't write it down! Autofill of website info like name, address, payment details is good, and we have a button embedded into the Chrome browser. I also have it on my phone and it works well there too. Recommended.
Nothing really, it works well, can't fault it.
Increased security and improved speed of logging into websites, plus sharing passwords with other employees - this also allows us to immediately remove access if a staff member leaves, and makes changing passwords easy. The password generator is great.
Easy to use on multiple device, even phones Rapid integration for new user
Difficulties to do reporting, maybe it due to our pricing plan
Password protection
Apart from its security track record, Dashlane is simple to use and with its features including autofill helps with user adoption. This is supported by the customer sucess team who work with businesses as part of the implementation to drive this all as part of the implementation. Training videos and documentation is straight forward. The trust.dashlane.com is a one stop page for all compliance. It ticks all the boxes. Dashlane is also progressive in its continuing release of curated features making the product a great investment moving forward.
Not much to dislike as it does exactly what it needs to do. The additional functionality is on the roadmap.
Securely sharing and managing passwords and sensitive information such as credit cards, notes etc. Monitoring the dark web for breachs to get on top of any potential risk. Increased password complexity and password hygiene. Autofill assisting with completion of forms with consistently correct information. Support security for business and home. Additional security through a simple VPN when traveling or working remotely.
It's a great way to keep up with my (very secure) passwords!
When the autofill feature does not work.
Cross-company collaboration when single passwords are required.
The majority of the time, Dashlane works perfectly and quickly.
Can be slow at times, and sometimes fills in the wrong field. These events are quite rare, however. Billing, however, is a bit unclear. There's no way to see billing history on the dashboard.
Password sharing is fast and easy.
In no time, I can access all my passwords.
There is no function for generating an MFA code (e.g. Google Authenticator).
Store access data centrally and share it with work colleagues.
Saves all passwords in a secure vault that can also be shared with other users; use of generated secure passwords and can also save other types of data.
On the phone app anytime you move away from it you have to log in newly.
Keeping passwords and data secure and the generation of secure passwords. Also the ability to easily share login data with others.
Passwords generator is really convinient. It's easy to generate a 24 caracters password for every account and having unique password on each site.
The sharing managing force to open app in another tab, it would be so helpful to see and manage sharing in the first mini window.
Dashlane solve the pain of remembering passwords for hundreds of accounts, let me have one unique password for each and so upgrade my security.
Dashlane is very helful for our office team of 14 people. It's easy to use, and easy as an administrator, but very powerful and intuitive.
I can't think of a lot to dislike. I'll update the review if I can.
Security breaches, wasting time for employees finding passwords, and so much more. We are much more productive as a team, which has helped our bottom line quite a bit.
Dashlane creates passwords for you that are complex so it makes it easier then trying to come up with a new one on your own and end up using a family member and dob over and over.
On the business platform the personal login feature should have an option to turn it off so only business logins are allowed.
It makes it easier to keep track of passwords. It uses biometrics so you don't have to always know your master password. Easy to categorize certain websites. Stops the use of using spreadsheets to keep passwords.
never having to remember a password, easy to create new accounts, share passwords, update compromised passwords and best of all, it just works on all my devices.
I haven't really found anything that I dislike. The Hotspot VPN app has recently stopped working and now asks for me to upgrade to premium plan but otherwise Dashlane is great!
Keeps all my passwords secure and in one place, easy to share passwords with family and colleagues. Saves me hours of time a month not having to search for passwords or reset accounts because I can't remember the password.
As an administrator with the Dashlane team plan, I have the visibility to know the password health of my team members. This allows our organization to keep a strong security posture related to password health. Additionally, Hotspot Shield VPN is included and can be used for team members that travel and connect to public Wi-Fi. So far, we have not experienced any issues.
As with any browser password manager, it can be obtrusive on some website forms. Primarily due to the actual website itself and not Dashlane. However, the option to disable Dashlane autofill during a web page visit resolves the issue with a click.
Ability to securely manage multiple passwords with strong AES-256 encryption.
Easy to use Admin interfac. Lots of functionality within the user platform. I love the easy to read charts/graph and use of colour coding various scores. 10/10!!!
Mac app is a bit buggy. It would be nice if there was a Safari extension that did not involve use of the app - we receive some user issues around the app. I prefer using the browser app and encourage all staff to use Chrome as a simplified option. However, some of our staff are Safari-users and struggle with the complexity of the add on. More training/upskilling videos to share with users would be nice too!
Staff using weak and repeated passwords. The Admin Console is great for monitoring this. We have really leveled up our password strength by using the generator and requiring staff to change weak/reused poasswords. Also nice to be able to revoke all business-related logins when an employee leaves the company.
Dashlane is a tool that I have used for many years. Having kept up with the latest developments, it is really pleasing to see that they are meeting the needs of customers. As well as being there to answer questions and ensure the security of our accounts.
Sometimes the window offering data stored in Dashlane is intrusive.
Generate random passwords that can be secured, store notes securely and offer a quality VPN.
Ability to share common supplier account passwords with just the people who need them is awesome. And employees can use for personal passwords too.
Sometimes it's a bit complicated for some users.
tracking hundreds of passwords
Dashlane allows you to secure your online self. You no longer need to remember so many complex passwords, which leads people to reuse non-complex passwords or store them unsafely, like a document or spreadsheet. I would never go back to the old ways.
Nothing. This tool has nothing but upside
Managing many complex passwords wih ease. Managing both personal and business passwords in one place. Sharing business passwords with colleagues is very easy to do.
