"cPanel is Good, But Their Yearly Pricing Increase is Bad"
What do you like best about cPanel?

cPanel was the first panel I used, and I loved it. The flexibility and customization and market of addons like Jetbackup, Softaculous, and NodeJS apps make it the best choice for anyone. The GUI is simple to use, easy to navigate, and responsive. It's a familiar panel for all of us (you can't go wrong with it!), and has come a long way since its creation.

What do you dislike about cPanel?

Year after year, cPanel raises their pricing by 10-15% without much justification. The only explanation I can come up with is that their servers cost them a lot of money, and they have to make sure the servers are making money enough not to go bankrupt. However, I feel that's an unreasonable excuse for increasing the fee so much. I know they're a company that needs to earn money. That's why I don't mind them charging me for features I don't use.

What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?

cPanel, as in its name, has helped us organize many things and made it easier to edit our files. No more messing around with web servers on a risky command line. We find it easy for anyone on our team to access our web files straight from their browser. In case we need to fix a minor issue on our website, such as a typo or formatting errors, we can quickly access cPanel and edit the site using their built-in html editor. I’ve realized that this has saved us more time because we can fix mistakes faster so our customers and viewers will be less likely to catch mistakes. A mistake on the website can make us look less trustworthy and unprofessional, so cPanel cuts the time it takes to fix the mistake.

"Great hosting dashboard, sadly being strangled by its new investment fund owners."
What do you like best about cPanel?

Everything! I've been using cPanel based hosting for my whole career and, once you add a modern skin to it, it's ideal and easy to use. Hosting providers have found ways to customise it and features of their own, technology's like Let's Encrypt's free SSL solutions have been easily integrated. It's a wonderful catch all and expandable solution to manage everything from hosting - from quick software installs via Fantastico and Softaculous to managing more complex things like DNS/MX records or jumping into a SQL database for some manual alterations. cPanel has really managed it all over the years.

What do you dislike about cPanel?

In 2019 cPanel was bought by an investment firm, Oakley Capital. They proceeded to massively increase the price that they charge hosting companies for each installation of cPanel - it can work out to a 1000% prise rise. So far the hosts I used have absorbed this cost but it's not sustainable. Other hosts like SiteGround have dumped cPanel are going to the effort of creating their own proprietary hosting dashboards from scratch - a noble goal but one that will create fragmentation and make it harder just to easily migrate hosting by moving a whole cPanel backup. Forget Plesk as an alternative, the same price gouging investment company owns them too. It would be great to see hosts worldwide pool their resources and move to a "Linus organisation style" free and open source alternative. Some already exist but the don't have sufficient weight behind them to take them to the next level.

What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?

I can't remember a time before cPanel! I'm quite sure that I've been using it for my whole career and I've always looked for web hosting that has cPanel support. Sadly that now has to change.

"CPANEL is now very expensive"
What do you like best about cPanel?

The Cpanel is the most usable Control Panel in the industry and it is mostly easy to use for our clients and it also provides us much convenient server management but it has no security feature and we have to buy cloudlinux separately for the cagefs services so I do not like why to pay for cpanel if no client isolation is available . Cpanel has builtin reseller panel for resellers so I can resell the servers to many clients. The client can start his own webhosting company from reseller and can do his own business without any fear or loss of investmenet and completely white labeled

What do you dislike about cPanel?

The Cpanel increased the prices too much and started charging on basis of the number of account which is so painful and expensive to webhosting companies like us so it urged us to move from cpanel to anyother platform so I moved the CWP pro platform and cwppro only cost me $12 per year and give me same type of control panel

What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?

The cpanel was much easier to use for my users and webdevs so I liked that as it provides filemanges and other things

"Simplified Management of Hosting"
What do you like best about cPanel?

With cPanel, managing every aspect of my hosting account is effortless. Whether it's handling email, backups, security, or files, cPanel offers fast and uncomplicated ways to accomplish almost anything. Its seamless integration with third-party tools and add-on functions, combined with its wide use across various hosting providers, ensures a familiar interface. The categorized layout of options and utilities makes finding what you need and making necessary updates even more straightforward. Overall, cPanel is an exceptional platform for anyone in charge of hosting management.

What do you dislike about cPanel?

While functionality is paramount, the appearance of the interface can occasionally appear outdated. Updating the user experience to have a more contemporary feel would elevate the hosting's overall quality and refinement. Some hosting providers may be at fault for not implementing the most recent updates or providing theme choices, resulting in a less modernized look. Nonetheless, a comprehensive modernization would be appreciated.

What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?

With cPanel, managing all hosting options in one place is effortless. Its user-friendly interface is easy to comprehend, updates are swiftly executed, and it seamlessly integrates with all the technology and utilities your hosting provides.

"“cPanel – Secure Site Management”"
What do you like best about cPanel?

I like using cPanel because it is user friendly, well-structured and highly responsive in web hosting. Also, I like using cPanel because it makes site management easy and more secure. The other important aspect of cPanel is that it is easy to create autoresponders, mail accounts, and forwarders. In simple terms, email management is made easier by cPanel. In addition, cPanel enhances site security since it has an IP blocker option, this curbs issues of site hacking.

What do you dislike about cPanel?

Mentioning the dark sides of cPanel is not an easy task for me. However, the web hosting software has some disappointing features that clients or administrators face. The need to first look for consent inconveniences administrators when they want to access all their account files. The other letdown of cPanel is its easy target by hackers and other attackers. Also, its cost is more compared to the charges done by competitors.

What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?

Our company, DoMyClassWork has 28 employees. cPanel has helped us in creating emails to all employees with company domain and thus management of emails is made easy. Also, the good structure of cPanel has been very responsive and friendly to our employees. Our system managers find it very easy to monitor and reinforce site security using IP blocker that is installed in cPanel. Last, cPanel’s interface has enhanced our site/company control.

"Many people can easily manage their website thanks to cPanel"
What do you like best about cPanel?

cPanel is used by almost all hosting services in Latin America, so its user community will always be ready to help you with questions. Its administration is simple and all its tools are ordered by function. I also like it because it reports if server resources are being exceeded, which is very useful to avoid crashes.

What do you dislike about cPanel?

I find it very expensive to be used personally. I believe that only companies can bear your monthly costs.

What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?

cPanel is the control panel used by the hosting service that we have contracted in the company and it greatly facilitates the management of files, email and backup copies. The most important thing is that the hosting service assumes the cost of its implementation and use, so we only pay the hosting service directly.

"Best Linux-based Web Hosting Control Panel"
What do you like best about cPanel?

What I like most about cPanel is its intuitive, neatly organized interface that makes it very easy for users to use even if it's your first time interacting with cPanel. In addition, the greatest benefit that cPanel brings is that helps users save a lot of time in hosting management. In the past, when there was no cPanel, users had to manage hosting based on command lines, very time consuming as well as requiring users to have an expert in the field of computers. But now, with cPanel, even a normal user can control and manage website and hosting easily. Besides, currently cPanel is a famous brand in the field of hosting management, it is trusted by many organizations in the world, the security of cPanel is also very high, helping customers feel secure to use without having to worry about anything.

What do you dislike about cPanel?

I do not like most about cPanel because its price is quite expensive for small businesses or startup businesses. In addition, if you are just a newcomer to hosting management, the large number of features that cPanel offers can make you confused for the first time. As mentioned above, cPanel is very easy to use, but also requires users to have a certain knowledge about hosting as well as the server, because a single mistake can make your website no longer work.

What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?

I use cPanel to manage some hosting for my websites. It saves me a lot of time and effort in hosting management. cPanel offers a lot of great features, making it possible for me to edit almost anything I want.

"Server management made easy"
What do you like best about cPanel?

cPanel help me out every time i want to host a website either for my own self or for a client its interface makes it more easily accessible and provides ease of use. The features are lovable and the recent update from cpanel providing free SSL certificates for every website/domain hosting on cPanel makes it more lovable. The statistics and the email integration is also awesome but i do feel like we need more cause i know i ma greedy when comes to features but so far cpanel is awesome in every aspect of mine without relying on a bunch of other 3rd party software.

What do you dislike about cPanel?

I personally don't dislike any specific part of it but i do dislike its pricing a little bit cause i have to pay extra for cloudlinux on top of cPanel although i do have my own servers making them somewhat cheaper would be a nice hit for me.

What problems is cPanel solving and how is that benefiting you?

Mainly server and website management and ease of access every time i want to update a tiny part i don't have to use command line terminal instead i can just login to cpanel and do the required job without any hassle and headache.
