Cloudflare is the market dominator in cloud computing, DNS, CDN, Security, and firewall. Said that Cloudflare provides unbeatably the best in class performance to price ration products. Cloudflare solved the major problem of mine which was DDoS, others include proxy traffic tunnel and real time traffic acceleration. it provides speed, security, and reliability at affordable prices which I like the most.
The only problem is that their services for free to entry-level category the system automatically over-rides the SSL present on the website and server and transfers it to its domains and SSL providers, which is kind of annoying. There is a very low limit of want you can do suing spectrum as the bandwidth is very low for the price in certain areas. RDP being the most used in the pandemic Covid-19 it 10GB monthly allowances and $1/Gb is kind of too much for just proxying the traffic because it uses data quickly.
The problems which we are solving using spectrum is that we can remotely access and assign servers with little to none configuration in the Cloudflare network and access it anywhere using their software. It is also the first choice that comes to mind because of their reliability.
Cloudflare is dead simple, and without much work on your part, will speed up and secure your website at the DNS level- before anything even hits your web server.
The only issues I've encountered are when Cloudflare's proxy makes it so that other services can't detect DNS records or caching related issues. However you can temporarily disable their proxy service at will, so it's never a big deal.
Cloudflare has solved not only performance issues for clients, but also mitigated DDoS attacks and other automated attacks on our sites. Additionally, it has image optimization in paid plans, and other options that keep your sites running on the latest technology to users who have it available. It's the easiest way to make a noticeable improvement to your site for a total time commitment of like 10 minutes.
1. Maintenance and deployment flexibility via API and Terraform 2. Reducing risk for handling transitions: far less time than rivals to disseminate cap transitions (seconds vs 30 minutes). 3. Managed rules are ready-to-use and require minimum (if applicable) configuration.
In a less developed organization with no logging aggregation tools to use Cloudflare logs, analyzing data to determine thresholds can be difficult, since built-in dashboards are insufficiently targetful for things like speed limitation or bot management. Cloudflare worked great with us, however, to hear such feedback and to enhance native dashboards / experience with time.
Cloudflare provides a excellent off-the-box implementation for more advanced organisations, as well as a very robust / extendable WAF implementation. The product evolves / improves continuously from both the Cloudflare Roadmap and the inclusion of the issues in our comments.
Deploying Cloudflare on your domain takes minutes, the peace of mind is priceless. To install Cloudflare, you enter the domain name, choose the plan and then Cloudflare scans the zone for known hosts, such as all the commonly used cPanel records. These are presented to you to review and then add your own records. Once you have your zone setup on Cloudflare , change your nameservers to the two provided to you by Cloudflare and you're done.
manually checking a large zone for missed records in the initial scan can take a while. By that I mean you can scan your zone and commonly used records are scanned quickly and easily, but anything that's custom or bespoke in terms of A-Name or C-Name records have to be entered manually. I'd like to be able to enter the hostname and have them look them up easier. I understand you can import a zone file, which I have not done yet - so that might help as long as you have access to the existing DNS. Many times we're setting up cloudflare and then having to co-ordinate with an existing 'admin' who won't relinquish access, that can cause issues.
faster DNS, content caching, WAF and centralized firewall. Benefits realized: a. peace of mind b. instant DNS update c. content distribution network d. WAF e. centralized blocklist of malicious actors and their IP addresses f. Visitor and traffic statistics
Unbeatable value on their free plan. I have multiple domains on Cloudflare's CDN and it works like a charm. Incredibly robust toolbox of tools to help protect your website.
Absolutely nothing to dislike about Cloudflare. Amazing services for free.
Free SSL certificates, force site to https, managing DNS, DDOS protection, caching, and the list goes on and on with new features being added often.
CloudFlare DNS is pretty fast to access, with 2FA secured login. The DNS features are really advanced, and offer a multitude of possibilities concerning the records update. Best of all, we were able to choose which record were to go though the Cloud (Secured CloudFlare) and which records were to bypass CloudFlare.
To be honest, in order to use custom nameservers, there is an expensive fee and package (Enterprise) update required.
Thanks to CloudFlare, we were able to securely mange our DNS records for our company's website, optimizing it's cybersecurity in the best possible way.

Reduced bandwidth usage and peace of mind that customers experience will be fast.
I can't come up with any dislikes, the service works exactly as advertised.
Reduced bandwidth usage and much faster connections by our customers which isn't possible for our small company otherwise.
I like the most dns features, because you can find your all dns settings in one place. So you can manage your domain with cloudflare dns feature.
I dislike one thing is that the cloudflare app, ithing this is one bad thing for every cloudflare users. The app section of cloudflare here you can see lots of features by installing app on your site but many app has issues so that this is bad thing for a website owner.
I need a security platform that secure my site by protection and other site enhancement like free ssl, dns settings in one place and also i like the caching my site. Cloudflare is very good for my site, it secure my site and increase other improvements.
It super easy to set up. I use bootstrap Studio and it had a step by step guide. It shows you the country where the website was visited and all this other information.
Most of the features cost money to use like Email domains and firewalls. I wished it would show you more stats.
I used to use wix but that was more challenging to set up. I get https for free and it tell me all the stats for my website like traffic.
Cloudflare is currently the best solution in the whole industry when it comes to managing your domain & various services associated with it. Cloudflare provides so many features out of the box for nearly no cost at all. Starting from DNS which not only simple to use but very fast when it comes to updates for your various records. Cloudflare provides a free SSL certificate for communication between your browsers & clients hence making a part of your connection secure again for free. There are so many other features that I can go all day like their workers to manipulate/perform operation on incoming request, cache handling, firewall, custom apps from its marketplace & lots of other features which is why cloudflare is currently the market leader.
The biggest drawback with cloudflare is that in its free tier you have no control over the actual caching of your content. We found it more than often that cloudflare don't cache our resources & even when it does it clear it very frequently (although I set the cache timing to be like many days). Unless & until you upgrade to their paid plans you have little to no control over the caching of your content.
We had earlier moved most of our domains to Cloudflare basically because of great DNS response time but mostly used it for its Content Delivery Network. We used it for one of our test products at that time to cache the images on Cloudflare edge so the response time can decrease leading to good user conversion.
If you are looking for a simple, powerful, secure and free service for your DNS you have to choose Cloudflare DNS. It comes with standard free and paid subscription and it offers advanced services like the protection against DOS attacks, etc.
Sometimes you have to struggle a bit with the domain verification.
You can easily have one place to manage all your DNS records. It also gives you the ability to set the TTL for every entry in order for you to customize completely your solution.
I like how vast the network is. They offer a free plan with a lot of features, including free SSL and DNS manager.
There is nothing which I would dislike since everything they offer works fine.
It is fulfilling my CDN and DNS management needs. It saves a lot of time with easy to use interface and fast DNS updates. All of it comes for free. Then there is SSL option for your site. You can use SSL for free on every domain no matter if your host supports it or not.
I was directed to CloudFlare by my WebHost as a way to reduce downtime and reduce resource use. The change was instantly noticeable as the site loaded far quicker once implemented. It was also very easy to set up.
I didn't receive any notification that the process was done, whichl eft in the cold a bit.
Slow load times and downtime were the main issues, and it has increased my website load speed, as well as well as reducing the amount of downtime I was experiencing.
I loved the fact that it enabled instant SSL protections and HTTPS rewrite. The option to upgrade to a dedicated SSL for just $5 is also amazing. Best of all, the analytics panel, which enabled us at the company to monitor visits and generate reports.
One disadvantage is that their RailGun features is only available in enterprise package. This is far to expensive ($+5000 monthly!)
CloudFlare enabled us to have a secured online platform, fast connection speed to the platform and optimal reporting.
