Getting called, sms'ed, emailed and receiving a push notification when something goes offline is a-mazing. Betteruptime also bundles problems that seem similair, more easily getting to the source of whats happening. Cronjob, heartbeat, domain, dns, imap monitoring. They've got it all. That combined with a lovely UI makes it the best option I have seen for monitoring. Their status page is also supurb, amazing design, shows what it needs to show. Maintenance is clearly announced, reporting on downtime. And the option for subsribers to your status page who automatically get notified if something goes down. In short, simply amazing.
The options for monitoring, calls, when somethign appears on status page are vast. This could lead to some important features getting lost due to the user getting overwhelmed. Fortunatly, the support team is quick to help, and very friendly along the way.
Guaranteed uptime for client systems. We get notified immeadiatly if something goes wrong, (which tech seems to do sometimes). This is an amazing way of ensuring our clients systems are always online. Peace of mind
We are thinking about switching to a paying plan shortly because we adore this site. It alerts me when a problem arises that needs my attention, and it once saved us from a timeout caused by a memory leak. It has great value to us. The software is friendly, has great status pages, and enables efficient escalation rules.
If there were some capabilities that could be incorporated into apps to proactively assess their health, that would be extremely wonderful. For instance, a composer plugin that keeps track of the health of our database models, views, and other components would be helpful in our situation of managing a fleet of Laravel apps and assisting us in preventing problems before they arise. I am aware, though, that for the time being this is more wishful thinking than a capacity that could change the game.
In order to pinpoint any flaws they are my fault or the fault of the web host, I find it useful to compare the platforms performance to that of my web hosting. Its critical for me to maintain open communication with my users by informing them of the pages condition, including whether it is completely unavailable, performing poorly, or requiring frequent maintenance. The platforms extra advantage of enabling others to report faults raises its value even more.
The simplicity of how everything works. Everything was set for less than 5 minutes and the team was ready to use it.
Can't change owners of the websites when they are added to a team.
Monitoring our uptime and receiving the information we need in a concurrent matter.
The best thing is the short check interval of just three minutes, already in the free tier. It gets better in the paid tiers, with many more features. They even call you if your website goes down.
The web interface wasn't fully customizable and sometimes during our tests, there were some latencies and delays with the website. Not with the monitoring, though, that worked perfectly.
It enables us to save otherwise lost money if we didn't know that our website is down. Uptime is critical in a fast-paced environment where the customers expect us to be reachable 24/7.
It's awesome design and simplicity. I've just plugged it in with a single click on Vercel.
It's not that I don't like that but I'd prefer to have an option to install the website as PWA. So I have it isolated. It would've been cool!
The constant need to access the server through CLI. Obviously the verbosity of the visualization it's amazing.
Simple and well-thought-out interface with all the required options and features.
There is nothing I disklike as yet. Always room for improvement...
Simple easy-to-use monitoring platform that helps us get notified when things go down.
Better uptime provides simple, cheaper and more professional status pages for my clients to stay updated. It makes me look more professional by adding the sites on a custom domain and staying notified regarding any downtime. It provides a history of downtimes in-built within the status page and also allows custom HTML/JS Script.
Sometimes better uptimes sends false emails, saying that the following server is down which is kinda annoying, but most of the time, they do provide real downtimes info.
Better uptime helps provide a more professional-looking dashboard and also custom domain integration with status pages. It helps my clients stay updated with the server uptimes via a short link and also provides a history of downtimes for transparency.
Easy to setup and for simple requirements even free to use.
To be honest. I can't think of anything right now.
faster awareness of issue with our broadcast system.
"What do you dislike?"... This is not an easy question as the product is already excellent. We can always imagine changes to perfect already outstanding service. If I had to think of something, maybe it is possible to improve "batch" creation with a principle of template, copy, import and export, but we are already in the territory of excessive demands...
Better Uptime helps me keep perfect control over several dozen online services such as websites by alerting me to the slightest anomaly concerning their accessibility. Better Uptime checks for me, 24/7 and every given time, the status of all my services, domain names, email servers, or certificates SSL, while managing the distribution of alerts and incident tracking in the flow of my team and their agendas. It saves me a lot of stress, time and allows me to know before my customers any incident!
It's really quick and easy to setup a check for personal use. A clean, modern look and feel coupled with an intuitive interface makes it so.
The red and green dots on the dashboard are hard to tell apart for colourblind people. Also, I get you want to charge businesses - fair do's - but my hockey club is a voluntary non-profit organisation and we're love an on-call rota.
Our Hockey club website goes offline periodically, about 2-3 times a year. We want to catch that and reboot the services.
The onboarding experience was first class, very easy to complete and wasnt swamped with technial jargon. Now that Im using the product for multiple sites, the emails come through straight away, much faster than uptime robot which I had been using in the past. The messaging and quality html emails make managing the uptime easier than ever before.
Not much to dislike. Seriously this completely meets my needs and works exactly as expected. Oh, I disliked how the first few uptime emails came through to my 'Promotions tab' in Gmail (workspace). As soon as I trained Gmail by dragging the email into the inbox this issue was solved.
Keeping my stable of small business websites online, and solving downtime issues as soon as possible. Better Uptime helps me pinpoint what is going wrong, so I can get the sites back online quicker.
I was initially drawn to Better Uptime for its neat interface and generous pricing, but its excellent incident management and easy configuration made it a total no-brainer. Made the switch from Uptime Robot to Better Uptime and never looked back!
There is nothing I dislike that comes to mind. Keep up the good work!
Better Uptime has helped me monitor the historical uptime of several services and alerts me when they go down, which has helped me immensely in reducing downtime to a minimum!
Easy to set up, easy to use. The free plan has what we need to monitor our webshop.
We're currently delighted with the available features.
We're able to quantify our uptime independently. Now we're able to communicate easier with our developers.
The app is super easy to setup. It took me like 5 minutes to get everything up and running. The free plan offers up to 10 monitors, which is amazing for any smaller project. Also, it includes a status page, which has a very neat design and integrates with the monitors quickly.
The advanced plans are quite expensive for individuals, but I understand that for teams, this is probably ok.
I needed a quick to set up a tool that I can use to check the availability of several of my hobby projects and for that this is a great solution.
Better Uptime works great when managing on-call. We had previously used pager duty and switching to BU was a great step forward in terms of speed and quality of alerting.
There are some monitoring integrations missing. That could be improved.
Incident management on-call. Alerting the right team member when incidents happen.
Better Uptime is very good for incident management. We have an external uptime monitoring tool and integrate with Better Uptime. The calendar integration of on calls and custom escalations are amazing. It's easy but does all the things we need. We currently have 5 people on our team, and everyone is pleased with how we operate with the platform.
At this point, we only utilise the incident management part of the platform, and that works well, can't really judge the rest of the app.
We needed a reliable platform for managing alerts and Better Uptime is just that. It's intuitive and easy to use. Really recommend to any teams tired of bloated tools looking for a simple yet powerful solution.
Better Stack excels in providing a user-friendly interface, making it easy for both novices and seasoned users to navigate the platform. Implementing Better Stack may require some initial setup and configuration, but the process is generally smooth. The platform provides comprehensive documentation and support resources. Integrating Better Stack with existing tools and systems is generally straightforward. The platform supports a variety of third-party integrations, enabling users to connect their preferred apps seamlessly. However, expanding the range of supported integrations and enhancing the depth of existing ones could further improve the platform's versatility.
I don't have many complaints about Better Stack. If I were to highlight a couple of desired features for future updates, i'd appreciate more options for customization on status pages, particularly in terms of appearance (Custom themes ecc.). Additionally, it would be beneficial to have greater flexibility in manually adjusting the system status on the public status page, although the current limitations are not a significant issue but more of a preference for improvement.
Better Stack has helped me spot downtime immediately and manage the incident all while keeping the users informed thru the statuspage
Better Stack is an powerful and helpful tool to monitor server status and get alerts about any incidents, even on the basic plan. This tool offers many features and configuration options to always keep an eye on the server status. It can be decided independently which statuses should only be internally and which should be publicly visible. Along with the user-friendly interface and fast responding customer support this is really a great tool which is easy to implement and integrate.
Unfortunately, there are some minor restrictions on changing the status of a system on the public status page manually. However, this is nothing serious but rather a nice-to-have.
Better Stack immediately alerts the team in the event of unexpected incidents of a server so that you can act quickly.
Gives real-time updates for website, API, cronjobs and more. Simple and professional status page with filter option for every incident. Can also provide a Twitter page link for the website and update it automatically. Provide widget to stay updated
The app is awesome and i love it, but there is one thing that i think would make it better. They should have an option for push notifications so that we can take action instantly.
With better uptime, I can monitor network uptime for the server and website. It's not just about checking to see if a website is up, but helps us to get notified of any issues/incidents as soon as they arise.
Super easy to get started which I love. The fact that you can simply point it at a URL makes it really easy to use. The interface is really well done in my opinion as well.
Paid tiers are a little too steep for me at this time, but to be quite honest I don't really have anything critical in production to the extent that this tool is super relevant for it.
Sometimes I don't check my site for a while, and because I self-host it (for all kinds of reasons), it can potentially go down without me knowing it. It's useful to have someone looking out for me
