Considered one of the pioneering cloud-based project management tools, Asana offers four views for its users – List View, Timeline, Calendar, and Boards – all of which help teams get both a macro and micro view of all the moving parts of projects and tasks. It provides a comprehensive roadmap of ongoing projects from start to finish, clearly outlining dependencies, project milestones, and feedback and approval processes. For project managers, strong reporting capabilities that show completion rates, individual workloads, and potential delays just to name a few create opportunities for real-time project optimization, collaboration, stronger forecasting, and better planning for future similar projects.

Asana helps me keep track of all my tasks and deadlines.
There is nothing to dislike other than not being able to complete a task on time
Giving daily updates to manager is a tideous task, asana makes it easier
You may access each process's overview in Asana. Everyone can easily see what they are working on and what the next stages are thanks to this software. This is made feasible by the tools it provides, which ease collaboration and save time and effort. Additionally, internal and external cooperation occurs as a result of the tool's facilitation of team member communication through chats, public tasks, and timelines. This is especially helpful for IT project management, where it's important for all departments to work in unison and for tickets to be resolved quickly.
I don't like it when you add someone to a subtask and they also see the subtask as a task with a deadline since it leads to arguments because you think you have several assignments when there are actually just one.
Before going to bed, managing the management process of a massage business that was out of control with the help of its staff.
Asana is easy to use and easy to log into for people working in different locations. All members of the team can update information in real time and respond to each other. It is helpful to toggle between boards and calendar views to be able to see projects in process for an entire block of time allowing for accountability and planning.
In some of the fields, such as calendar view, it is not always easy to edit a project, so you do have to remember to toggle between the different view options for full functionality. When working during team meetings, you also want to make sure everyone on the team is looking at the same information and the same view on the screen to track effectively. It does take some time to set up and onboard.
Asana allows members of our team around the world to see projects that we are working on together in the form of both boards and a calendar view. This allows us to plan workflow and to also look for places where we can work together more effectively for project planning and management. The graphic interface of Asana is easy to use and allows everyone to see things in real time.
I like a centralized tool that all team members can see each other's progress.
Adoption can be a challenge. There has to be a leadership champion.
Integration features in Teams has been very useful. I'm glad to see this continuing to develop.
This has been a great management tool for our company, the integration of comms has been great and has allowed us to cut down on mails as which has been amazing
This software only allows a maximum limit of 100MB per file even on a higher paid plan. I really don't like this one because Trello allows 250mb files. Have a look at this problem
It helps us orchestrate work across teams at scale
One of the best advantages of Asana is the possibility of monitoring from multiple devices, including smartphones, since nowadays we do not only monitor from a computer as we traditionally used to do. In this way, this tool allows us to manage projects and tasks collaboratively from anywhere, receiving notifications, sharing tasks and efficiently monitoring them.
It is a very complete tool characterized by managing projects through the agile project approach, so there is the opportunity to incorporate new features that complement diagramming in agile methodologies without forgetting the use of waterfall planning for project monitoring.
One of the most extensive uses has been in the monitoring of activities that involve the contribution of multidisciplinary work teams, since each member can be assigned tasks, measure the time in the execution, and individually each person can update their activities based on the progress recorded; these advances complement the percentage of the global project automatically and ensure a successful execution.
How easy it is to collaborate with others and to see what work needs to be done
Not being able to set up a check list with ease
It allows others to see what I am working on
They created a Mac OS desktop version of the app instead of in-browser or makeshift apps to fil that gap circa 2020 - that was a big improvement for me. The templates are great. The integrations and communication are aces.
My biggest dislike is when agencies allow their clients to view the entire workboard and all projects. How you work is the secret sauce of business. I suppose I wish there was more of a prompt to force admins to email automated updates of projects and make it a little more difficult to add clients...?
This is difficult to solve from Asana's side. I wish there were super-easy-to-advanced education about work metholodogies --> then planning --> setting up ---> change management. Wrike does a great job with this. The reason these apps don't work for businesses is that they don't know the basics of operations.
it alerts me on my phone when tasks are due
subtasks are hard to read. i wish i could group tasks together under a heading instead of creating subtasks
keeping us on track
It gives you a complete overview of your project of projects. Integrated with tasks and a calendar. You can even manage multiple teams.
It can sometimes be a bit overwhelming because of all the functionalities.
Our projects before Asana where hard to handle. We worked with spreadsheets and sticky notes. Now we have a clearer overview.
Team monitoring and task and project management
Nothing as such, the software is easy to use for new users as well
Task tracking and monitoring
Asana generates value in interactions with business workgroups by concentrating the execution needs of a project in a single environment while reducing the need to use email to communicate with the rest of the colleagues about the execution of activities. Additionally, it allows you to share notes on a standard board about task descriptions and upload attached documents that are recorded as evidence of the tasks that are in the process of execution; on the other hand, it combines functions that can be interrelated with a single click, prioritizes activities, establishes a specific workflow, among many other features that facilitate the work of project managers.
It is an excellent platform for the execution of multiple types of projects, widely used worldwide, so an opportunity for improvement could be to make some changes in the look and feel to make it easier to interpret at first sight, which that favors the learning curve
Among the main problems solved thanks to ASANA, I can mention the successful completion of complex projects that involve a significant number of people, since it is parameterized so that each one of them reports the progress and execution of activities. Additionally, it is very useful for recording evidence that can be shared with stakeholders and even better, with our sponsors.
The easy-to-understand UIUX helps to get a glance at the current status of the entire project. It is straightforward to assign or re-assign a task to overcome the delays.
We used the free version. Hence there are limitations to adding new users and the storage. Else all features are good, and didn't feel any dislike while using the product.
Being a small organization, we depended entirely on google sheets to track different projects. Since it involves a lot of manual interventions, we couldn't follow the tasks efficiently. Asana helps us to streamline our entire project tracking process seamlessly.
Asana is the very best UI in the game - allowing you all the different sorts of ways to track work - Kanban Style, task list, calendar view, even does some resource management and goal trees if you're a leader of teams. The product has a sortof magic quality because everything is autosave and drag/drop, etc, so it feels low lift to interact with, sortof like a spreadsheet instead of some over-engineered tool that's too focused on the features that managers want at the expense of work-doers.
I have always thought the worst part about Asana is visualizing a large list of projects. Most of the time, the solution is just to put those projects all under one project as Tasks.
Asana is the place I put all work to be done. I turn emails, slacks, and anything else into Asana tasks, allowing me to make sure I always prioritize and also limit the amount of Work In Progress at any one time to optimize throughput. Essential tool in my quiver as a consultant with half a dozen clients I manage
Dance projects show by images and more many more platform to result Team management and distribute the all parameters by diagram charts and videos presentation many more things
Much more dislike this it because of it is not having in regional languages and briefing in easy languages it is more compared to all regional level to help out to customer satisfy
Asana resolving the problem of very easiest way and this five customers to very deeply it is presentations giving a very more smooth and easy ways to all parameters of SQ
Asana helps to manage our tasks very efficiently. In the My Tasks section we can check our pending tasks. There are various progress levels for out task like Todo, doing and done. We can add our progress in the respective block. Manager can define due date and review the task before closing it. We can even chat between users to get our queries solved. We can set our goals for the period which help us to be on track.
In the board section of My tasks we have recently assigned tasks. If we have to move that task in one of the three progress levels we have to add them by task name instead of drag and drop. So drag and drop feature should be there.
It is helping me keeping track of my tasks and helping to complete them on time which saves my time and enhances my reputation in the organization.
I have used Asana for projects that require a lot of tasks completed by various people across the world. I liked how Asana has the option of not only seeing where you are at in the project but also communicating with everyone.
At first it was difficult for me to get the interface but it just requires for you to get used to it. I loved the app overall.
This app is very useful to assign tasks on big projects that require the input of several people. The ability to communicate on the tasks you have been assigned is incredibly useful as well.
It's easy to follow through on their To get things done
There is nothing about a sign of that I dislike
Asana helps us move we need to request a living arrangement at a hotel or a car reservation when our organization is sending us out of town
I particularly like the ease of use. and the design (UI)
unfortunately, , we can't make multi assigns
Personal organization
My colleague and I are planning a team trip, and Asana is a great tool in terms of organization and timeline, along with giving each other deadlines on when things need to be accomplished.
Nothing that I can think of, I really enjoy using asana!
Organization, timeline, teamwork, planning, check and balances
