It's so easy to use. I was able to be up and running on my first time.
No much. It's really amazing. The price is very reasonable as well
making podcasting easy and fun and hassle free.
I'm currently working on my fifth podcast, and this is the first time I'm using Riverside to do it. I'm so impressed at how clear the audio is, how level each audio track is, and by the way I feel so secure in knowing that my audio files are there. It's so easy to use, guests find coming on a breeze, and I love being able to keep track of all my recordings in one easy spot but also split things up by podcast.
I wish Riverside had more of an all-in-one level of service, in that I wish I could pay for a service that included podcast hosting and distribution in addition to recording.
Riverside makes it really easy to gather people for a podcast, record it, and keep the audio files in a safe location. I used to have to record on my computer, do sound tests, etc. I don't have to worry about that anymore.
I love the platfrom that Riverside.fm has put together. It allows you a professional setting in which to conduct your interviews, you can discreetly mark clips so that when you are editing you know where something important was said, you can download just the Audio file, the combined video files or just one individual depending on your needs. Additionally, being able to create content on the platform saves time and that hassle of having to transfer the video to a different platform. Finally, the quality of the files that are output are second to none. There are no reliability issues (as with Zoom) and it truly is a platform designed for recording and sharing.
The only downside I have to mention about Riverside.fm is that the live recording quality isn't great and that takes some getting used to. Soemtimes, you'll be on an interview and the guest will be blurry but the output is perfectly clear. It isn't a big deal once you are used to it but it can be a little worrying when you first get started.
Riverside.fm has provided me with a professional and high-quality recording platform for my podcast interviews and video recording content. It also allows me to create content within the same platform, saving me from having to transfer my files to a different site to achieve the same purpose.
I love the high quality content and podcasts I can record with amazing people on Riverside. Even when signal is not great, I know Riverside will keep the videos at a really high level
Nothing bad to say about Riverside.fm at the moment. All the small issues have been fixed and doesn't effect my experience using the platform at the moment. Great service
I don't have to worry about the quality of my podcasts, content and videos using riverside which includes the raw videos and audio. This means that I can schedule guests on without worry!
Riverside makes publishing, planning and recording my podcast a breeze. The audio and video quality is second-to-none and it makes my editing process pleasant! I
It would be helpful if it was made easier to use external cameras
- Scheduling - Audio Quality - Audio editing - Group calls
They have tutorials to help navigate the experience. I appreciate the customer service. Always helpful and attentive. Easy to talk to and easy to understand. I am not sure
In the beginning my volume kept being off and I wasn't sure what the issue was but it was on me. The video editing was a challenge at first but I've figured it out.
It was always the quality of my recordings that I was having trouble with. I'm no longer having those issues thx to riverside. I was using zoom. Can't say my business has increased but the quality is much better.
We were looking for a solution to help us conduct interviews with design professionals located across the U.S. Riverside made it easy for us to host these participants, many of which were new to being recorded, in a comfortable online environment. We got great footage for the interviews and alongside some quick Amazon equipment purchases recorded way better footage than we would have otherwise.
I'd love a way to better utilize our participants' phone cameras without quite as much complexity. It would help us with low-cost 4K recording to make it easier for a first-time user (joining as a guest) to get started. We wound up recording using Apple's continuity camera feature to get HD footage, but I would've loved to be able to somehow pair using Riverside's app and get 4K footage that uploads from the phone while being able to see the picture on the person's screen. As I was looking, it seems like this feature is available for the host but not for participants.
Riverside fills a gap in online recording for formal purposes that Zoom or Google Meet can't beat. Remote interviews have become incredibly important to our program, and creating content that's high quality for a limited budget is always a challenge, but Riverside made it possible for us to conduct 10 interviews in a week, get great footage, and make quick work of some of the initial editing process.
While Riverside may not be perfect, it's getting there, and I think it's the best out there, at least for a reasonable price. It has so far produced the best quality with the most reliable results for me.
There's nothing to dislike, just minor quibbles and features I'd request. My chiefest complaint had to do with the unreliability of the transcription aspect, but that's working pretty great now!
How to record audio of storytellers in remote locations in an easy way using equipment they already have on hand. It's a huge timesaver and we can generate a whole lot more content then we ever had before.
I like many things about Riverside.fm; my first thought is the ability to record quality video using my iPhone. But the best feature is how it records in HD in the background while maintaining your video call.
I'd struggle to name something really. I don't like how it doesn't work in Safari.
Podcast Recording
Great product, use it to interview clients x By far the best on the market as it gets rid of network issues via local recording and records audio to multiple tracks
Nothing. Riverside is exactly as it should be.
I run social media accounts for my clients and need a way to get high quality interview footage of them. Riverside has enabled me to do this.
As a beginner in podcasting, I needed a tool that would allow me to have my own virtual recording studio. It works for both visual and audio-only podcasts. The platform is very intuitive and I can do everything I need in one place. I have recommended Riverside to my journalism students, professors, and people who produce their own podcasts.
I think the editing feature has some areas for improvement, so it may be easier to edit multiple files at once. I use Hindenburg for some edits. If Riverside could help make editing less time-consuming, I'd keep this as my only go-to platform.
I don't have the equipment or recording studio that other content creators have, so I needed a platform that would help me produce high-quality audio from the comfort of my home. Guests like Riverside because it is easy to use.
The upside to using Riverside. fm is that it allows us to bring together both clients, agency folks and subjects to obtain authentic 4k video content. Riverside is lightyears ahead of ZOOM. Zencaster was not offering 4K at the time we needed it ( not sure if they currently do) = The studio set up is simple and effective.
Initially, we ran into audio quality issues. We don't want our interviewees to wear headphones so audio quality can be spotty recently though audio has improved.
This allows us to obtain high-quality, authentic interviews with people nationwide without leaving our respective offices. I love the the safety net that the platform offers to back content up and archive.
I enjoy that it is a user friendly platform with high quality audio and video. I especially like that seperate audio and video tracks are recorded which enable me to edit more clearly.
My video will not match the sound if I start and stop a recording in the same session
Podcast platform
I was once an technical director for a television network. I know sound quality!! I only this this quality on Riverside.
I am still having trouble when I have a guest.
I want to record guests but I cannot hear them. The benefit would be to meet my launch deadline.
I have worked in radio for 30 plus years. so much hassle over that time trying to connect with people in a studio environment. I once had isdn at home and it just kept dropping out. This is perfect. I am working at the moment from Lancashire to Adelaide, Australia with somebody with limited technical nous. This is the perfect and only solution. The transcript option is brilliant too.
I wish I had a few more hours each month but that is all.
i can now deliver quality podcasts
Its key feature is the ability to record high quality audio and video from any location. This is particularly useful for remote recording, as it ensures professional sound without the need for expensive equipment or a soundproof studio. Riverside also excels at collaboration, allowing podcasters to work seamlessly with co-hosts, guests or production teams. Its easy-to-use interface enables real-time file sharing, editing and chat. Riverside also makes it easy to monetise content with ad integration and real-time tracking of ad performance. Podcasters can also benefit from the platform's robust analytics dashboard, which provides insights into listener demographics and engagement metrics. In conclusion, Riverside is a game changer for the podcasting industry, offering advanced features, seamless collaboration and accessibility. Its innovation makes it a must-have for both new and experienced podcasters, who can use it to improve recording quality, monetise content and gain insight into audience engagement. Overall, highly recommended.
The only thing that bothered me personally was the lack of ability to change the administrator's email address. For security reasons, I had to get a letter signed and stamped by the CEO to change the email address. A feature for some, but a nuisance for me!
Simultaneous production of video and audio podcasts in 48Hz or 4K quality
I like the short video tutorials. They are easy to understand with great vibes. The platform is simple with no complications. The people I've interviewed have been amazed at how easy the recording system is.
I do wish it has a "face filter" so I could look a bit younger! :-) But then again, it keeps things real and natural.
Saving me time and money.
Riverside FM, makes recording people remotely a hassle-free experience. Quality is fantastic, gives you a nice amount of control to produce a show, and pre-record videos, with multiple people, it has some great functionalities like transcriptions, gives you high res synced mp4s available to download, and even builds you an adobe prem project file to get editing in. Nice noise cancellation feature too.
Creating new shows and getting the link to the room could have fewer clicks before generating the link, would be great if it adopted some ai live enhancement of audio or picture.
High res video recording made easy. it allows multiple people to be recorded at the same time, and gives me controls that other software doesn't seem to have, It lets clients log in to watch, I may well start using it to live stream from.
We started trialing Riverside to improve the quality of our video interviews and haven't looked back. The functionality of Riverside is so advanced yet easy to use, and it has dramatically improved recordings. The local recording really increases the quality of picture and audio. Using the auto transcribe and being able to clip out sections in one place, rather than having to use multiple productivity tools like in the past, has been a big upgrade.
Greater compatibility with devices and browsers would be good, but sure this will be coming over time.
Producing high resolution video interviews for news and feature content.
The clarity, simplicity, and the audio quality. We can also export our audio to edit in other software or application if desired. All in all, we love this product for our show.
None. The audio quality is the top priority, sometimes causing the video to lose quality, but this is acceptable, especially under poor connection conditions, weather, etc.
Audio quality recorded from Zoom calls simply wasn't good. Even with the best audio equipment, good microphones, etc., it still suffered. Riverside provides the sound we want at a much more affordable rate.
